189 Visa - Part Qualified Actuary

Post by AndMan33 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 4:08 pm

Hi, I would be really grateful for any help anyone here could offer. I am a part-qualified actuary (all CTs plus CA2, CA3) with 7 years actuarial work experience. I notice on VETASSESS that they ask for academic transcripts but the thing is that I did Physics and so none of the courses are relevant. I have done all my actuarial training post-uni and so if I submit my transcript (which I don't have) it won't mean anything to them. Its going to be a real pain and maybe impossible to get hold of from that graduation year from my uni so do you think that its worth trying to get hold of or just not relevant in this case? I have my degree certificate of course to submit. I suppose I can always submit a current transcript from whatever courses they do now but its bound to have changed since 2003!
I get the impression the transcript thing is targeting say if you are a doctor and study medicine, engineers do engineering etc but actuarial science degrees are quite a recent thing, most people used to do maths, physics or whatever and then study at work afterwards.

Thanks again for any help people can offer!
