ND whats up with your UK visa ? in my case it got rejected. The uk rules have become tough enough which increased the rejection rate. Australian immigration is much simpler, I am planning to immigrate there. Lot of my friends are already there. Through them I gained lot of knowledge about aus immigration.

Roams,

ITs very bad news roams.Whats the reason for rejection ? And also to my knowledge yours is a stroang case ? R u in-country applicant ?

IF you feel your case should be approved may be you have to re-appeal.

I am waiting roams.I think i have to wait till JAN atleast because my application reached them on around august 15'th.

you may have never heard of a reason like what they told me. They said my job is not graduate level. No where it is mentioned that you have to prove your job as a graduate level. I am working as unix administrator (its under specialist level/category)from last 6 years and my overall IT experience is 12 years. I am not interested in any re-appeal. they may give some other reason. I will try for australia(rather I already started).

I am not in-country. I applied from saudi (working here). I am indian national.

Its very strange reason. But if you can get a certificate from your previous employers that for doing that job the person should be graduated etc...

What did your consultant say about this ? Did you aks the chances of success if you re-appeal.The reason i am asking you to re-appeal is anyway u tried hard and waited for so long y dont you give a last try its not going to take long time ... also if you have good coverletter explaing all this with your employers letters defnitely i feel you application will succeed.

And also UK has better opportunities for Unix/Solaris Administrators than australia.I heard australia has less IT opportunies ... do a research before you plan shifting there.

yes you are right uk is much better for IT people. Even you can settle in remote places with good salaries. Australian remote places are not much developed and if you get a job there you can not expect a high salary. But if you look at the city life, there are good opportunities. The only hickup being the delay in processing. They may take 6 months for visa process, 2-3 months for accessment and some time for medical. Its a lengthy process. Also it is 2/3 times costlier that uk one. I am really disappointed by the result. Hopefully the german scheme starts early:lol:
I did not ask the consultant anything, I think if there were any chances he will tell me first.
