Can I claim 20 points using new ACS after filing immigration

Post by rhonnydavid » Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:42 pm

Hi All,

According to new points system which will be effective from July 2011, I need to show 8 years of experience to get full 20 marks. However, I will be completing my 8 years of experience in exactly the month of July, therefore I will be applying my ACS from 1st Auugst and it will take around 3 months for the result (end of october). Now the problem is , my IELTS is expiring in the on October 08. Is this possible that I file my immigration case on the basis of my old ACS which is still valid (but do not shows 8 years experience) and as soon as I get the result of my new ACS, then I send the immigration authorities the result of my new ACS showing 8 years of experience and claim full points of 20?

Regards,
David
