I have provided my biometric information when I applied for my Resident Card. Still no need to mention? No need to return my card either?

Explain it if you wish.
Caseworker is used to processing applicants who happen to have changed name due to marriage.
She does it day in, day out; they can figure it out.
But if you wish to explain it it can't hurt.

You will have to enrol biometrics as part of the naturalisation process.

Biometrics previously provided as part of EU application is separate and does not exempt you.
But you do need to submit PRC as part of proof you have acquired PR.

Q1: you will have to give separate biometrics as part of the AN application (I know it sounds like overkill) - so you won't have a BRP card therefore answer NO and the follow instrucions. Certainly this was the case for me as I never did biometrics.

Re: Q1: but for my case I have already done the Biom enrolment when I applied for my PRC as non-eea, it doesn't make sense to go to PO again and pay £19.20!! I guess u have never done it before as you are an EEA national and you were required to do it too part of your application!

You are confusing yourself.

PR application is nothing to do with naturalisation.
Biometrics filed for EU/PR has no connection with naturalisation.

Biometrics have to be enrolled by all applicants for privilege of citizenship.

Its not about what makes sense to you (you are overthinking it by taking that approach), nor is it about what saves you money - its about HO finding out who you really are. Just do it.

You must provide details of all your National Insurance contributions made

I did not pay income tax at all for one of my jobs, because I was below the threshold (and it was part time) Also I was in uni back then, so that period will be covered by a letter from University.

Will I need to provide much evidence for that job or not really? I have an HMRC letter from that period that mentions my tax code, but other than that I don't really have any more evidence that I worked there or that I was exempt from paying tax. As I said, studying was my main occupation back then, so do I need to worry about this part time job?

Remember HO are checking good character too - including compliance with Immigration Regs;
forget Santa, he's a pussycat, you really do not want to end up on HO's 'naughty list'.

Suggest supply everything; caseworker can then pick and choose what she needs to see.

Thanks In hindsight, it's pretty obvious that I have to send (good) evidence for literally all employment, no matter how insignificant.

I contacted HMRC today and they told me they can send me a statement that covers 2011 - 2015, which includes my part time employment for this company. I will however try to get this company to produce a letter that confirms my employment, but in the meantime I am trying to get as many alternative documents as possible. My main worry is that they will either refuse to give me such a letter (though they don't really have a good reason for that!) or they no longer hold records about me, though it wasn't that long ago.

Anyway my other worry is proving physical presence exactly 5 years ago (in February). For this I will provide 3 documents:

1) letter from HMRC dated exactly February 2012, which also mentions the company where I worked part time
2) University graduation diploma, dated 2013
3) Letter from university that mentions when I attended and that period includes February 2012

If HMRC send me the statement that shows I was employed in February 2012 and if this company send me a letter about when I worked for them (which includes February 2012), I think my evidence will be quite solid.

Does this sound about right?

So now for BC, can I apply on 19 Feb 2017 or should I wait until 15 Mar 2017? i.e. is it 5 years + 1 yr = 6 years?

19 Feb 2017 and it is the most recent 5 years residence that counts for citizenship. Make sure you were physically present in the UK on exactly the same date in 2012. If you were not, your application will be refused.

I'm trying to understand the concept of "gaps" in the context of this form and application. I have the feeling the requirement to exercise treaty rights + prove residence was much more strict when I applied for DCPR than now.

For example how many documents are enough to prove I have been working between 2014 and February 2017? Are the following enough: P60 from 2014, P60 from 2015, P60 from 2016 and letter from employer that covers up to February 2017?

On top of that I can add an HMRC letter that lists my employment over the past 6 years. (I did not work before that)

Before that I was a student. Is the University diploma enough? Or is it absolutely necessary to have a letter from the University that mentions attendance? If so, is the graduation diploma useful at all? I also received a few letters from HMRC (I worked part time during studies), are they needed or do they help? HI All,
just a quick query regarding the question 1.48 about the 10 years employment history in AN Form for BC. During the last ten years I worked as self employed only for few months along with my full time job, Now do i got to mention this as well or just give my employment (jobs) details.
Secondly, for my jobs do i have to give 10 years P60s or the employers letters will be enough as i just have last 5 to 6 years P60s.
please reply as my appointment for NCS is after 2 weeks

It is not necessary to prove you were working.
It is not necessary to justify unemployment.
Economic activity is not mandatory when naturalising.

If you did work you just have to submit proof of meeting tax/NI obligations.

Aside from that you still have to prove residence in UK. As per AN guidance.
That is where letters from government, quasi-government and other official bodies (university, employers, medical authorities & etc etc) can help.

I guess my main concerns are the periods with no activity of any kind For example the time between course end and graduation ceremony (then I went on holiday, so I can't "connect" those days with jobseeking & employment). Or the times I was a jobseeker. Am I wrong to be concerned about these gaps?

There is very little "official" evidence you can show for such gaps. But I read in many cases here that in such situations you may get away with providing bills, bank statements (with address on them) etc. Am I approaching this correctly?

Periods with no activity are fine. And with PR you are settled.

A bit similar problem here.
I'm an EU citizen, I have DCPR based on my husband's work (EU, full time job for the last 10 years, same employer, wrs) and wonder how to fill in Employment Section, because I do not work myself.
I've mainly looked after our kids for the last few years (was self employed for some time) and was employed before we had kids. Do I only mention my employment/self employment activity and don't worry about the gap years?

Would it be alright, if I provide HMRC statement showing my NI contributions for the past 10 years as a proof I have full years paid (checked it already and it looks alright)?

And what about proving my residence for the last 5 years? I don't quite understand whether it's obligatory to provide all the letters and support documents along with passports and national identity cards or the letters are needed only in case of gaps between passports.

I started to worry whether I am eligible to apply for BC at all...

Would it be better if in my case I waited until my husband's naturalisation and apply as a BC spouse?

I would be grateful for any help.

He completed his degree at Roehampton University, a British institute. I have no problem that he satisfies the requirement. My question is, how should I fill out section 1.22?

For English, you tick the option I have quoted below.
