reki_14 wrote:Hello all,
I have been following your posts for some time but as my story was similar to most of yours I decided to share my experience just now as I received my approval today. I sent my application by post on June 22-nd and received my approval letter today which means that I have waited for 7 months and a half. I have contacted HO multiple times by phone receiving same standard answers that my application is in progress and they don't need any additional documents. In December just before Christmas (on the 23-rd of December) I have sent letter to the same address I sent my application asking for any information but didn't receive any answer. I called them in January and I was told that I was going to receive a letter very soon and finally I received it today. Thank you for your posts and good luck to everyone.

Julian11 wrote:As I posted in another thread, I was declined, for supposedly not exercising treaty rights for 5 years. It wasn't more specific than that so I don't know where they found an issue. Absolutely gutted.
Oh men really sorry to hear that. U were dead excited about is getting approvals and you couldn't wait for your good news. Really feel for youJulian11 wrote:I had a mix of studies, work, and self sufficiency, all since 2009, which I proved with all the relevant docs (and the NCS was fine with it all): work documents/P60s/HMRC documents for work, the relevant degree documents for studies, and certified bank statements for self sufficiency.
For a short while, I worked abroad but I came back every weekend (and I sent proof of all of these flights) and when you add up the days gone, it does not even come close to ever hitting six months in any residency year (if you hit 6 months away in a residency year, you break your treaty rights).
So I really don't know what they disliked.
