maximux79 wrote:In your email or speak to HO, have mentioned that as per the new guidance (attach the PDF), that PBS printout awarding 10 points and original degree certificate (in English) is enough to satisfy the requirement. Maybe the caseworker who's working on your case have overlooked it. There are so many people who have got their approvals based on Original certificate + PBS printout submission. Thanks

Eligibility criteria: 2Yr Tier 2 ICT + 3Yr Tier 1 + 1 Yr ILR
English language : Degree certificate + Tier 1 points sheet awarding 10 points for english + University letter stating degree taught in english
Nationality : Indian
Method of application: NCS Slough 18.02.14
Date of receipt by UKBA: 20.02.14
Date of debit of fees: 28.02.14
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 06.03.14 dated 27.02.14
Date of receipt of letter requesting extra documentation : 09/04/2014 (dated 03/04/2014) : As your application was received after 28 Oct 2013, we require a letter from UK Naric to confirm that the degree that you obtained in india meets English level requirement for naturalisation. Please send your docs by 22/04 else your application will be refused
Date of receipt of approval:
Date of Ceremony:

I have applied for fasttrack Naric Statement of comparability and also standard service for English language assessment(as fasttrack is not availabe for English language assessment). I will get the SOC on Tuesday but the English language thing will take longer and would probably not within 22/04.

I have emailed Home office to provide extra time but not sure what they will do.

I am wondering if I should send off the SOC + Certificate + PBS print out confirming 10 points(something I missed when I filed the application. NCS were not too bothered about it as well) + University letter original stating degree was taught in english as soon as I have SOC back on Tuesday (15/04) and write a covering letter to the caseworker explaining if this meets the requirements and /or requesting more time for the English language assessment to come through.

However I am a confused why they need this Naric English assessment as the link clearly states degree taught in english + PBS does the job.
https://www.gov.uk/english-language
I am in the same situation, i got the NARIC letter thru premium service now. I have sent them the PBS printout(showing 30+10 points), printout of the government website (highlighting where they say PBS printout is enough) and of course the NARIC cert. Fingers crossed.

Update:
I've been asked to a complete a data protection subject access form (DAT1) http://www.psni.police.uk/dat.pdf

I live in Northern Ireland and apparently anyone who has spent any time here may be asked to do so. Apparently, the Home office does not have access to the PSNI(police service of northern Ireland) database and therefore a separate request needs to be made. However, not all applicants are asked for this so it seems like it's a bit of a lottery.

Eligibility criteria: HSMP + Tier 1 + 1yr ILR
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): B1 Test
Current nationality: Indian
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Hammersmith & Fulham
Date of application: 27/02/2014 (Thursday)
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Credit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 03/03/2014 (Monday)
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 03/03/2014 (Monday)
Acknowledgement letter dated: 03/03/2014 (Monday)
Acknowledgment letter received: 05/03/2014 (Wednesday)
PSNI Subject Access request letter dated: 10/04/2014(Thursday)
PSNI Subject Access request letter received: 14/04/2014(Monday)

Date approval received: Waiting
Date of ceremony: Waiting

I lived in Northern Ireland 4 years back. I went throught this process (PSNI) for my ILR application 1 year back. Do I need to go through the same process again for my Naturalisation?

I think HO office has my profile including OLD document (e.g. PSNI- certificate). Am I right?

Having seen some February applicants receiving their approval I decided to contact the NCS and ask if they have heard anything from the home office and maybe its just the snail mail that HO use that is holding up my approval, but they responded and said they have no further update on my application as of yet(this was on Friday 4th of April.
On the morning of 5th April i got a brown envelope from home office, my heart skipped 3 beats(thinking my application has been rejected as council does not have my details). Opened up the envelope and home office requesting to see original passport and birth certificate of spouse. Passport of spouse and birth certificate sent on the same day. Now the waiting continues again for how long more i dont know. Does anyone here have any idea how long it takes for them to reach a decision after requesting documents.
The wait is agonizing.
After sending off the requested documents with a self addressed special delivery envelope included for the return of the documents, i am happy to report the special delivery came back today with a letter in it stating the application has been successful and that i should wait for an invitation to ceremony letter within the next two weeks.
Glad that hurdle has been crossed now, on to the next one.
Good luck to all those still waiting.

Guys, I received this response from FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Is this a standard reply - does this mean a caseworker hasnt been assigned to my application yet?
Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately we can only confirm that currently the application is ongoing as it has not yet reached the 6 month stage of consideration. We will contact you as soon as a decision has been made or if we require further information.

All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquires, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out. Our service standards set out how quickly we aim to decide applications for British citizenship. The standard is that we will decide 95% of applications within six months.
