Another successful applicant without uk naric. People should stop panicking. Most case workers dot bother placing qualification in the point based calculator and end up writing standard letters to request for additional information. But u need to write a cover letter addressing their concerns . One client was asked to provide a language assesment letter from UK Naric for her qualification. She had used solicitor. They wrote back to HO advising qualification was recognised on the point based calculator and that the institution recognised. They sent a copy of the point based assesment . They further argued that the case worker erred in requesting additional information because the language assesment were meant for qualifications not recognised by calculator (they quoted) the HO guidance February 2014. The client received approval after 10 days. It Came Fast As They Had Sent A Self Rely Envelope.

Friends,

What is the best number to contact HO to find the status of my application? recently ROYAL MAIL has lost my mails and delivered it to a wrong address, so I am just making sure my nationality result is not a part of that lost mail batch. I am a bit concerned now, as I thought my case was straightforward :(

Dear Friends,

I am currently waiting still, seem like it is gonna be long time for me.

I have read The post yesterday and decided to call the number which Mr.Man4uni, kindly advised, been waiting for 12 minutes on the phone, then they asked me to ring this number
0300 123 2253 for British nationality.
..
Been told my application is under process and consideration still and could take 6 months as usual. Well, at least I know it is not lost somewhere.

Will keep waiting. Good Luck.

Hi All!

I wonder how some NCSs here are helpful. I know for certain that some letters have been posted to me recently but never arrived so contacted my NCS yesterday to make sure HO hasn't sent any reply yet that's gone nowhere. They answereed that once they send the application they don't have anything else to do with it and please contact HO :(

Will have to call them HO but not sure they even check the status or give the same standard answer to everyone of "pending"...

Been calling 0300 123 2253 since yesterday, they just don't take my calls due to high volume of calls :( Is there a 'right' time to call them?

Eligibility: 5 year EU spouse + 1 year PR
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): UK degree
Current nationality: South Aftica
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: essex
Date of application: 25/02/2014
Payment method Personal cheque
Date of receipt by UKBA: 26/2/14
Date of ceremony: 14/5/14

No letter from UKBA received, only invite from council.

A note from applicants on EU family member route: I applied a year from when I became eligible for PR (Feb)(ie 5 year anniversary date), not a year from the date the PR card was issued (May)
