I think it's school holidays; so case workers might be short on head count; so taking more time

Hi Guys,
Just a small query..If I need to travel outside UK urgently, then can I get my passport back before naturalization approval? Can I Request for return of documents (only passport) without withdrawing my application? Is this possible?

I don't think home office would return your passport without completing your office- I suggest calling citizenship help line and see if they can return your passport

Applied 1st june 2014, wanted to travel in august which i just returned yesterday so went online and applied for passport return while application still ongoing. Got it back in 3 days with letter stating they could still request for it if the need be for decision making. So request it online, just make sure u select the option that you are NOT withdrawing your application.

i don't think anyone who applied in June has received any approvals. I saw some 1st week May applicants getting approvals last week but it's been relative quiet this week

I applied on 2nd June no luck yet. I think by 1st week of September should hear something.

Hi

Guys the pattern seems completely random for the approvals. some get within weeks and some within months. so there is no point bashing your head to your letter boxes.

I know how agonising the waiting can be as I am in the same boat as you all are so I suggest just try to ignore it and not call them over and over again. it will increase your frustration for calling them and getting the "standard" reply. if it has been over 6 months then do call.

The more you try to call them and get disappointing answer which is "6 months" you rather be patience and wait.

Good luck to us all and hope this time will pass as soon as possible with a positive result at the end.

hello everyone,

Am new to this site but i would like to share my experience if anyone can be a bit of help!

i apply for nationalization back in 2011 but i was refused because of my conviction as i was given a community service which fall on the ground of (non-custodian offence) and the letter send to me say i should re-apply by 28/July/2014 during that time it was 5 years "Rehabilitation act 1974" but law change in 2013. i manage to wait till 5 years for my conviction to become spent, now i have applied for nationalization again through NCS on the 07/08/2014, i received acknowledgement dated 15/08/2014.

Can anyone help me what will be the decision as i am really scare?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I have applied for Naturalisation on 16th June Has anyone has any updated about applications submitted in June.

Date of NCS form Submission: 16/06/2014
Council: Brent
Date of Fee debit : 25/06/2014
Date of acknowledgement received: 1/07/2014

Waiting for letter from UKBA. I have called UKBA couple of times and have been told application is still in process, no decision has been made yet.

Does anyone have update on naturalisation applications.

There are people who are waiting since april first week and they havent heard any thing from HO, I guess June application might extend until October..

Thank you so much your reply. It's a great help. I will wait till end of September before applying online for return of passport without withdrawing my application as I need to travel in Nov.
I just hope, we get approval in Sept. Fingers crossed!

I think June applications should hear from HO after 15 sept. roll on time.

just read some post's on may applicant's time line- apparently some of them called HO and got an answer saying that they will start getting a yes/no reply by next week. so seems like early june's should extend up to end of september and late june's (which mine is) should extend up to mid of october. fingers crossed...

I apply uswell on 16 June but the HO sent me a letter I have to in liverpool for an interview asking nothing more

hello everyone,
with the current timeline it looks like late june
application might have to wait till october
to get the approval.

i have 2 queries. first is that i forgot or missed
out to send my points based calculator with the app,
i have only send uk naric certificate showing my degre
is equivalent to uk degree and a back dated letter from
my uni saying the course was taught in english snd lastly
my original degree. my question can i send my points
based cal copy to them now or shall i wait for them to
ask for it?
also i asked for my passport and marruage cert back and they send me everything except all the english lang docs i mentioned.

the next query is i was away to india for 101 days so will that affect my appl? this is the first time i have been away for so long due to family weddings.

Also my hubby has got a job in egypt and he has started work this sep . i really want join him but this naturalization process is taking too long. can i move my ceremony to egypt(hubby and my kids r british citizen)? and can i apply for my brotish passport from there pr shall i stay calm and do all the process and then leave the country?

I don't have much knowledge - but I would advise that you are careful in what you say to home office about moving to Egypt. This because basis for your naturalisation is that you want to make UK your home and that's what you state in your application and if you are not doing that then this may have implications on the outcome of your application

2 of the July applications been approved and still after mid May applications waiting. Don't know how HO is processing applications randomly?
