1) Registration at Home Secretary's discretion for children born abroad and now 'settled' in UK is section 3(1) of BNA.

2) Your question is unclear.

If you are asking whether you have to fill in section 3 of the form - then NO, it does not apply to you.

The answer to Q1.1 is "Section 3(1)" in your case.
BUT
Section 3 of form doesn't apply to you. (You are not applying under 3(2) or 3(5) of BNA).

Hi All

I have the same scenario as dgm76 and I am applying for my both children (age twelve and eight). Both children have their ILR, residence card and born outside the UK. Me and my wife are British Citizen by naturalisation.

I have few questions about filling for NM1 form:

1. What shall I fill in Section 6? Shall I put "ILR residence Card number" in section 6.2?
2. Since I have booked NCS, What shall I answer in "6.7 BRP enclosed?"?

@dgm76 - Is it possible you to share your experience regarding Biometric section at NCS?

Thanks in advance
Jabed

1) What do you mean by ILR residence card - what is that?
Do the children have BRP ID cards? that is what the question relates to.

2) Q6.7 The answer is Yes if you have BRP ID card. NCS will forward a certified copy to HO.

Hi Noajthan

Thanks for your quick response.

I meant Residence Permit (Kids have received this card when our ILR application got approved).

It has printed following information:
1. the number on the card start with "RC**" (I guess BRP number starts with BRP)
2. type of permit "SETTLEMENT"
3. remarks "INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN"

Is it actually BRP?

Thanks

BRP ID cards are what are issued when you get ILR.

Just checked my wife & daughter's BRP ID cards.
They have RCxxxx numbers, also the same type & remarks as you detailed above.

I think you are describing BRP ID cards.

Hello,

My son just moved to secondary school. Is it ok to use a teacher from his primary school as a referee?

Thanks in advance

Ideal choice as long as known to you for appropriate time, not a relative or HO staff, no unexpired criminal record.
