Since I have posted the MN1 application form by special delivery and still waiting more than 5 months, I read the information supplied by FOI, which should answer your question:
"Q: Does it make any difference in terms of handling them and time
taken to process between an application via NCS or application by
post?
A: The only difference between NCS applications and non NCS
applications is that, having been already checked to make sure all
documents have been submitted and mandatory requirements are met etc,
the cases are usually ready to approve when the reach the caseworker
without further enquiries being necessary."

I did not receive any email at all. Hope it helps
Home Office SLA is to decide 95% of citizenship application within 6 months so it is normal.thasif wrote:

is it normal on the acknowledgement it says "may take up to six months to make a decision on your case" for the mn1 ?
