we are chasing the Nationality helpline every other day, but are told our case is still under consideration with a case worker and no decision yet made. we have an urgent travel to India and started looking at applying for birth registration to apply for Indian Passport. we are not sure what UK visa he should be applying for his re-entry to UK after our visit to India.

Will there be any issues in applying for Indian passport and UK visa while his MN1 application is under progress?

Hi, sorry for the late response but just saw the question.

Since I have posted the MN1 application form by special delivery and still waiting more than 5 months, I read the information supplied by FOI, which should answer your question:

"Q: Does it make any difference in terms of handling them and time
taken to process between an application via NCS or application by
post?
A: The only difference between NCS applications and non NCS
applications is that, having been already checked to make sure all
documents have been submitted and mandatory requirements are met etc,
the cases are usually ready to approve when the reach the caseworker
without further enquiries being necessary."

Hi All,

Can you please post your questions in new topics and not use the "timelines only" topic? The subject very clearly says, "MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (only)". Please start a new discussion in an appropriate section of the forum. This discussion is only for updates post application.

Kind Regards,
Vaib

Home Office SLA is to decide 95% of citizenship application within 6 months so it is normal.

Hi Vinny,

Quick question .

My friend a bit shy got my ILR recently ... kid is born in uk and had pak passport for 7 years now ...but the indian passport expired 20013 march forgot to renew ( she still has visa till march 29) .

kid has birth certificate ... and he has ILR now

Now question is does it make any difference that kid Pak passport has expired? he is going through rough phase don't have enough funds to apply for cbefore the child visa expires

can he apply BC registration after the visa expires the kid is born in uk

Please advice if i m supposed to ask this question on a different forum advice

Thanks in advance
