Hi Vinny,

Quick question .

My friend a bit shy got my ILR recently ... kid is born in uk and had pak passport for 7 years now ...but the indian passport expired 20013 march forgot to renew ( she still has visa till march 29) .

kid has birth certificate ... and he has ILR now

Now question is does it make any difference that kid Pak passport has expired? he is going through rough phase don't have enough funds to apply for cbefore the child visa expires

can he apply BC registration after the visa expires the kid is born in uk

Please advice if i m supposed to ask this question on a different forum advice

Hello. I have British citizenship and passport for 1 year and decided to apply for my child. My case should be very easy to decide. However, nearly 5 months wait and 4 calls to the HO just to confirm that the application is still under consideration with no result.

Anyone still waiting for approval around 5 months after submission? Just started to get worried when look at the approvals for just under a month!

I am pleased to say that received the approval letter and the submitted documents in the same self-addressed envelope. Just before the 6 months period for consideration. Though, still waiting for the certificate.

Alhamdolleah, We received the kids registration certificates today , our timeline as follow:

Eligibility criteria: 1(3) (3 children)
Method of application: NCS (Edinburgh)
Date of Application: 05 Jan 2015
Date of debit of fees: 14 Jan 2015
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 15 Jan 2015
Date of receipt of approval:
Date of receipt of registration certificate:27/02/2015

I have just one note: the date on the certificates are different : My eldest son "born in England" the date on the certificate is 11/02/2015. While my other son and daughter who were born in Northern Ireland the date on their certificates is 25/02/2015. So this maybe while it took a little bit more time form our application to be decided.

Thanks to Al-Mighty GOD for making the process so easy and quick for us.

It took a total of just 17 days ( Well done NCS , well done Home Office) from date of applying in NCS Aylesbury till today when we received the certificate.

Will submit the passport application very soon.

Hi,
I will appreciate if someone can guide me what documents are required to apply for my son MN1 form. I have ILR and my son was born here in UK. However my wife is still as dependant of my previous Tier 1 Ent visa. Please provide the complete list. I will be applying directly to Home Office. Also is it fine for me to send my marriage certificate which is half in English and half in Urdu.

Both Parents (Father and Mother) Passports are required to apply for my child born in the UK.

In My case I got ILR, My wife has applied for the ILR. We do not have my wife passport with us. it is at home office as her application is under consideration.

You should be ok with only your passport but if I were you, I should call nationality checking services in your local council to get further advice.

I've recently received my ILR and wish to apply for my UK born daughter. I've read about the requirements and I understand that only one of the parents needs to have ILR, however I just need to clarify whether both parents need to send passports or just for the one with ILR.
I'll be applying through section 1(3).

I recently applied for my kids certificates by post and I only added a photocopy of my brp with no passports of either parents and I received their certificates within 18days. I Dont think passports are required.
