Mauser1905,

Thanks a lot. I hope so, they haven't asked for anything either in terms of more documents. I assume the documents are at least past the initial security check stage (3 month old baby), and probably awaiting a case worker to confirm, let's hope it's quick.

Process according to Ian Page (Deputy Chief Caseworker)

(i) Envelope opened and fee taken to account. Contents of envelope place
in a pouch.
(ii) Application file is created. Database record created specific to
the application.
(iii) Security checks conducted - some of which are directly against the
information entered onto the database, others are with external
agencies.
(iv) Case goes into queue awaiting consideration by a caseworker. Queue
is in date-of-receipt order.
(v) Case is allocated to a caseworker for consideration. If everything
is in order the application is approved. If not, deficiencies are
rectified - e.g. by writing to applicant for further documents or by
clarifying immigration history from records or clarifying security
checks.
(vi) The system generates a certificate for the applicant which is
printed off and despatched.

Thanks again.

Looks like error from HO side, but to be honest doesn't seem alarming to me. However you may try contacting HO and convey the concerns.

Please have patience. Its hardly 3 working days. Payment will be taken in due course. Also note that depending on credit or debit method it takes a couple of days for the payment to reflect in your account.

I applied for my son BC on 09/03/2015 trough NCS . The HO received the application on the next day.
Paid by cheque and the acknowledgement letter said the payment was made on 12/03/2015 but it only reflected on my
account on 18/03/2015.

Can not wait for the outcome!

Good luck to all!

Hi there,

I applied MN1 (section 1(3)) for my baby born in UK through NCS. I applied on 18th March and it's a week now. Fee is not yet taken from my account, even though the application reached on 19th March. When looked into this thread, looks like more or less everyone's application fee was deducted within a week. Is it like fee be taken from the account within a week of submitting the application through NCS or a week's time after it is received?

Regards,
Ram

I will let you know if Ho deduct fees. Please update me accordingly.

Thanks

Hello,

I need some urgent guidance/advise on my situation.

Application Type : MN1, POST - Next day tracked (Royal mail) with return envelope (next day tracked postage)
Section: 1(3)
Date of application: 09-Mar-2015
Date of receipt: 10-Mar-2015
Ack. receipt: 20-Mar-215 (dated 16-Mar-2015)
Payment type - Banker's draft (so already paid)
Waiting... waiting.... for other things.

Recently we decided to buy our house and the mortgage broker is asking about my BRP and Passports which I submitted with the application (yes I did that mistake thinking that the document verification will take less time as the originals are with the application :( :x )

Yesterday we decided to fill-up the application for return of documents in UKBA site and we filled the required details and submitted the form.

At this moment I am bit anxious as I need the documents very urgently.

Where I need advise:

I do have scanned copies and the acknowledgement letter for my son's application. When I explain the situation to mortgage broker he said he needs the original and physical copies of passports and BRP (for passport he agreed that he can use my DL but still need BRP).

He also mentioned that if UKBA in anyway can confirm that the scanned copies are true and details are correct - he is happy to proceed. But I do not see a way of asking UKBA in their website or the ack. letter .

Can someone guide me here with right advise?

Thanks,

Hi,
I am really struggling to get the professional reference.
My GP is happy to provide the reference, but she is not a British citizenship.
Please let me know whether they will consider my GBP reference as a professional reference

Thanks!

Hi,

I got an email from home office today that my son's application for nationality would take up to 6 months.
We applied for his nationality on March 18th and the money was deducted from my account yesterday. But today, we received this email.

Has anyone got a similar email? I am really worried as we are planning to go to India this July for Summer vacations.
Your quick reply will help me a lot.

Thanks,
Ram

Hi,

I did only for my kid. I checked with my friends and they say, the email content is the same as in Acknowledgement letter.
I hope it wouldn't take 6 month though. Has the fee deducted from your account?

Ram

Hi there,

Don't worry about that ,it is just a estimative.
I did apply for my son on 09/03/2015 and on 18/03/2015 I received a letter saying that it takes up to 6 months.

I read several posts and most of them took less than a month.

Good luck to all of us!

Hi All,

Fee is being deducted from my account on Wednesday, but there isn't any sign of acknowledgement letter or Email.

Is this something to worry ? or My son application will be processed as normal ?

Thanks

Normally they send the acknowledgement letter within 2-4 weeks, from when they receive the application.
Everything sounds normal .Relax !
