MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (only)

Hi All,

I have been a silent reader to this forum. But thought I will share my timeline to help others .

Application posted- 10th June 2015
kids- 2, both born in UK
HO received- 11th June 2015
Payment deducted- Aug 2015
Biometrics- Sep 2015
approval with documents received - 20th Oct 2015
Certificate received- 21 Oct 2015

Congrats to everyone who have received their certificates! I really hope the rest of us receive it soon. We are holding of our travel plans because of this.

The pattern seems like, people who gave biometrics in August/September have received certificates (irrespective of application submission date). People who have given biometrics in June/July are still waiting.

I have emailed nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk 3 weeks ago, but didn't get any reply. Did anyone find it useful to email HO?

Eligibility criteria: section 1(3);

Date of application:13-08-15
Date of receipt by UKBA: 14-08-15
Date of debit of fees: Don't remember
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 28-08-15
Date of Biometric: 28-08-15
Date of receipt of approval: 20-10-2015 (I did put a pre-paid envelop when sending)
Date of receipt of documents: 20-10-2015
Date of receipt of registration certificate: 21.10.2015 ( Normal Post)

Thanks God... Its really fast... I thought will receive in December/ Jan...but, surprisingly today received the post...

Dare of biometric letter: 06/07/2015
Date of biometric submission: 07/07/2015

I may have to move home soon. In this case, I would be setting up a postal redirection.
Can any one let me know who's name is the naturalisation certificate sent on?
I had my wifes name for payment, so the letter of receipt came on her name; while the application was filled in by myself, so the bioM letter had my name on.

P.S. I am looking to have an online editable spreadsheet that can be used to track MN1 applications. With data from applicants in one place, it will be easier to derive statistics. Will try to find the time this week.

The acknowledgment letter that I received says type of application AN6(1)+

Is this right ????

Date of debit of fees: 10 July 2015
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: dated 09 July 2015
Date of receipt of Biometric: date 09 July 2015 and received 17 July with incorrect DOB. correct receipt on 30th July
Date of Biometric Enrollment: 02 August 2015
Date of issue of registration Certificate: 19 October 2015
Date of receipt of registration certificate: 20 October 2015

Hi If you are changing your address you can update your address details by using the link bellow or send them a letter via post. The address is there in the link bellow.

You dont need to redirect your mail. Plus the Supporting documents come Sign for and you cant redirect any sign for via royal mail.

I have received my documents and childs registration certificate today..Thanks to almighty as I had scheduled passport appointment for 26th. This has saved me from delaying my plans.

Applied on 12/6 by post
Biometric on :26/6
received (docs and approval letter dated :2/10);( certificates dated 22/10) on 23/10

All the best for those waiting. It had been a long wait!!

Note: I had requested for return of documents on 19/10 to head with alternate solution as my kids indian passport had expired.

Still no response or even approval letter, I can see there are lucky ones with similar dates have received their certificates.
Do you have to get the approval before certificate?

I am bit worried already booked the tickets for December

I wanted to contact Home Office regarding MN1 application for my SON, can someone please advice how I can do it? I knocked every possible door but I couldn't get any help. We need to travel due to some emergency. I also contacted my MP and she didn't responded to my letters and emails. I wrote three email to nationality service but no response from them (first email was sent 3 weeks ago).
I call nationality service but operator refused to answer my any question as it's still not six months (it's five months today), I asked him if I can speak with supervisor to any one? he refused and hang up phone.
So worried! and completely stuck.....

Understand your pain ... they are very unhelpful and almost impossible to reach someone who could give a decent reply

Try sending a letter to the address you go the ack letter

I am doing the same as am in same boat as you.

I understand your situation very well.I think we all are in same boat.I applied on 19/05 and still waiting.I haven't tried to contact any one as I feel the pressure on me just going to increase. I would suggest wait for another month and then chase . I don't think you will not get any suitable answer from any one !

Thank you all. All I can wish good luck to all waiting people. It's just we have to travel in emergency otherwise I don't bother these timelines. We all are helpless and surely they don't treat us like customers when we call them, it's like we are baggers standing infront of them and asking for visa. We are not asking their services free of charge, we have paid a lot of fee.
