I'm mid November applicant and still haven't heard from the HO.

Here is a message to all October applicants waiting:
The reason you haven't received your approval is because you applied in October! UK Immigration 101- never apply in a month when there are new rules! Due to the new laws on 28thOct, there was a massive surge of applications which resulted in a backlog. So your application along with SET(O&LR), SET (F&M) are all piled up in one room with no one touching it. On the other hand, January applicants have their applications nice and fresh into a new room which isn't back logged. Hence why their application is getting approved quicker!

Hi guys,
I've got an update to add to your statistics. :)
Applied on 24.10.13 via NCIS in Croydon. The fees were taken on 7.01.14 and today I received the approval dated 27.02.14.
So a little bit over 4 months.
I am glad it's all over and good luck to you all! :wink:

No, it's not a private ceremony; my council does citizenship ceremony every week. The fee for private ceremony varies depending on the council.

Approvals seems to have slowed down since last week. Especially November and December.

update on my application;

Aplied 7/01/14

Approval received 11/3/14

Ceremony: TBC

Thanks for everyone who posted here - by the way i had 3 points on my driving licences for speeding offence and had a visa refused before (2006) for allegedly using fake bank statements but did not declare all this in my application. I didnt think it was worthwhile defedning myself against teh alleged fake statements before i never hada hearing or an opportunity to defend myself so since itw as in their records it was up to them to decide if i was of good character deservinga British citizenship or not....i am happy they did!!!

All the best to those still waiting.
