Two observations:
1) The call centre is not uptodate. I called yesterday late afternoon and was told my application was still "incomplete" whereas the letter was already dispatched.
2) Delays have nothing to do with nationality.
Congrats collipu! I wonder what kind of sleep you will enjoy tonightcollipu wrote:Date approval received: 13 March

What was your method of payment? I applied on 04/04/14 and the application was received by UKBA on 05/04/14 but payment has not been taken yet. I have preferred to pay by cheque. Does anyone know if cheques lead to delays?

This is due to Home Office sending letters by 2nd Class, but I received my Home Office letter today, a day after the invitation from council. My council sent me an invitation on the 13th by first class, where as Home Office sent it on the 10th by second class.Soebmk wrote:eskalebur wrote:Application Timeline

Can you plz explain how come you received invitation ceremony letter but you didn't receive approval letter normally people receive approval letter then they book ceremony date???
Are you aware that HO do contact your local council [or the one you specify on application form] once the approval is issued. Of course they also send you an approval letter at the same time. If your council uses a quicker postal method than HO [second class royal mail], it's possible you'll receive council invitation letter before the HO approval letter turns up.Soebmk wrote: Can you plz explain how come you received invitation ceremony letter but you didn't receive approval letter normally people receive approval letter then they book ceremony date???
