I finally received my approval letter from the Home Office today! In a strange twist, I received a letter from my local council last week, congratulating me for my approved application, and inviting me to the ceremony 28-March. Of course, you must bring the original letter from the Home Office with you to the ceremony, and since I still hadn't received it yesterday (17-March), I panicked. I emailed the help desk, and they responded this morning. They confirmed the date my approval letter was sent, and offered to send another copy. When I got home, the letter was in my post box. Not sure why it took a week from Liverpool to London, but at least I received it. When contacting the help desk (
NationalityHelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk), remember to provide your full name, date of birth, address, and reference (from your confirmation letter). Otherwise, they will email back to ask this information, and your query will take longer. I hope this information is beneficial.
