@silvamethod

your cheap marketing gimmick is really condemnable. You are writing in a forum where the power of cumulative knowledge is far superior than any immigration lawyer and this forum has saved thousands of pound of fees for people like me who learnt to be self sufficient and not depend on immigration lawyers.

We can easily make out how stupid your post is, how unnecessary and irrelevant are the things you have mentioned. Getting citizenship is not a rocket science, we get it without paying any fee to any lawyer. Not only that, even UKBA mentions in their website that getting an agent for citizenship is hardly required. You either qualify or do not.

If you have really used the agent you mentioned, we can only pity you.

This is my first ever post in such tune in this forum but sellsmen like you is nuisance for such a beautiful forum which is lifeline for many amd hence had it to give you back.

There was a small goof up during my documents verification :( . I was applying for registering my daughter (form MN1 -- birth in UK) as well along with my naturalisation. In the reference and identify section one of the referees wrote as 'Son of Work Colleague' instead of 'Daughter of Work colleague'. The NCS coordinator called someone to check what needs to be done and i was asked to write in the additional comments section that it has been mentioned incorrectly. Hope it wont be a problem..however fingers crossed!!!

Hi All

I applied in Jan this year and have not had any decision yet - it will be beyond the standard service soon. Do you know what will happen after that, and will they contact me to explain the reason behind the delay?
Is there any way i can contact them to get the update

I'm also a January applicant (6th Jan).

Emailed my local MP this week to contact the HO on my behalf - hoping for a decision by next month (?)

ps: EU applicant with PR certificate

Returned all my original documents and even though I am a Third year BSc Student, I was sent a letter by the case worker asking me to do the B1 English test. Which I managed to do by the 16th of April.2014.

I personally think that the who ever has applied in the month of may will have to wait 8-9 weeks as by the looks of it everyone who has applied in may haven't received their approvals yet.I myself called up the HO and they said pending and then an email came said in progress.

Good luck to all of us
Piya

I think currently passport office is going to serious backlog, thats why they put all naturalization application on pending. caz if they approve naturalization then these people will apply for passport which will create more backlog.

Current nationality: France
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Islington - London
Date of application: 7 April 2014
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Credit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 8 April 2014

I have been waiting for quite some time now and I wanted to ask some questions about the famous 'brown envelope' - approval letter.

Is the envelope sent by recorded post? Also is it a large envelope, or is it of a similar size to the acknowledgment letter (i have a small postbox!)?

And does the council always send you a separate letter confirming the decision?

Thank you and good luck to everyone.

I have been wondering why some applications are considered so fast, approximately 4 weeks, while other applications take so long, up to 5 or 6 months. Judging by this forum, this happens for applications that have been submitted simultaneously.

Is it that the Home Office just manages poorly applications or maybe there are extra checks for some people? does anyone have any idea why?

Hello everyone,

My wife has applied for BC and here are the details:

Eligibility criteria: 2 yr + ILR (British spouse)
Method of application: NCS Hounslow
Date of application: 21/05/2014
Date of Debit of fees from bank account: 02/06/2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 06/06/2014
Date of receipt of approval: eagerly awaited
Date of Ceremony: awaited

We are concerned that the application is taking too long but are a little relieved that some of our other fellow applicants on this forum are also waiting for their approvals unfortunately.
One of the users made a very good point linking the extra delay/inefficiency in the HO processing to the passport backlog.
All the best everyone. Please keep us all updated
