It is impressive to see that they have sent an approval in less than a month.

In my case I am still waiting for an acknowledgement or payment being taken. Moreover I am quite stressed as I applied through NCS and as I paid them £75 fee, they sent my app by special delivery. I applied on 10/10/2014(Friday) and they said it will be sent on 13th (Monday) so hopefully delivered on 14th (Tuesday).

On royal mail website it keeps saying "progressing through our network". I called Royal mail who said if it stays like that for 14 days then we will consider it lost. I spoke to council and they said they contacted HO and checked they have not received it so I can re-apply again for free. To which I asked them what about LIUK test certificate as original one was sent in the app and now I don't have it. HO won't accept photocopy, get the references again. Also, if HO receives 2 apps would that mean I will be charged £906 twice?

Then I decided to call HO and got through to a very helpful lady and explained the situation, she took my Special delivery ref no. and confirmed the parcel has been received on 14/10/2014, she took my name/DOB/Nationality to check if my app is scanned on the system and said she couldnt find any details as it can take 2 weeks for app to be scanned on the system from when it is received. I double checked with her and she said that ref no. parcel was defo received on 14th.

I spoke to council again who said they got different info but they hope the info I got is right.

I am waiting for the acknowledgement and hoping for the best as I won't be happy to do LIUK again due to Royal mail loosing my package containing the docs (if they have lost it). Thank god I applied via NCS so all the originals are with me safe at home. As it is scary if Royal mail can loose a parcel like that which can easily have someone's original passport/BRP/Marriage certificate and other imp docs.

Your application is not lost. Status on royal mail website is wrong. Happened to me too but it was eventually updated. Even the fee that was deducted took couple of days to show on the statement. If HO is saying they have received the parcel, I wouldn't worry about it.

That gives me some sort of assurance that i am not the only one with that experience. I consider that good news on Diwali :-)

Happy Diwali to everyone who celebrates Diwali.

Its seems like 10years naturalisation applications are very slow this year,, stil waiting patiently.
All this applications are based on the type of stay the person had.
I have noticed marriage applicants get the decisions very fast,
Then 5yrs workpermit get decisons second after marriage.

10 yrs Applicants seems are the last ones to get naturalisation...how unfair... :(

I'm spouse of a BC I'm waiting for the decision As it been 3.5 months. I have seen so many people applied after me got their approval already. So I don't think all the marriage applicants get the result quickly. I think it depends on ur luck completely. Cos the case worker pick random application rather than pickin them up in a order.

I am with you on this one. I spoke with the Home Office again today and was told the same old 'still under review' story. I was also told that each application is treaded differently solely dependant on the different type ie marriage, tier, ancestral etc. I have three weeks before the 6 month period and have been here for over 12 years now.

How long have you been waiting for? You seem to be waiting very patiently but I guess that is the only thing we can do. Good luck and let us know once you hear anything.

You have a point. I see that the average time from approval date to receiving the letter is approx 9 days. Why does this take so long to send back?

Hi
I've submitted mine in 07/04/14 and still waiting!!!!
I've sent a complain email, few days after I received a phone call but nothing usefull. "Your application is in process and you need to wait more" but for how long?!!!! No answer.
I sent a letter to HO but no reply!
I've emailed Mr. MP twice but he has replied yet!

What else I can do?!

This is ridiculous, I don't understand why they are so lazy and take this long to decide naturalisation applications. Surely most of the checks are done at the time of ILR so naturalisation shouls be straightforward. After doing same day ILR appointment I know if they wanted to they can decide an application in less than 90 minutes. Why it takes them 6 months or more by post for any sort of application, mind boggles. I guess you can just wait n watch and hope for the best.
Good luck

boone wrote:Still no news on my application. Phoned the Home Office again and got the same response saying ‘still in process’. I was advised to wait as I have another month until it will be six months! I was also advised that I would not be told if the application was successful this will not be confirmed over the phone. Once it becomes the 6 month minimum period you need to contact the Home Office call centre and you will be given the contact details for your case worker.

Everyday seems to be an agonising wait! Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Hi Boone,
Could you please let me know what number you are calling.
