Hi GGreg
If you think your application was straight forward and should not have taken so long.
I will advise you after taking oath pls send email to
complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
asking what was the reason for such a long delay, when other people getting approval in 3 weeks.
I got in 3 week ,my application was straightforward.
Regarding background check i don't think HO office is doing any.
I gave 2 referee none of them received any call or email.
This proves there is no standard way of processing application.

I have been sent the same letter that most people are receiving after 6 months and that fact that my application was clean and simple.. frustrating
Its taken 7.5 months.
Don't worry, it will come through. We all need patience to deal with Home Office processes
