Date of receipt by the UKBA (Royal Mail Tracking )
Date of acknowledgement

To qualify for BC, UKBA says to be physically present in the UK 3yrs before the day you apply (in my case - spouse of BC route) 'when they receive the application' to qualify residential requirement.

So based on this forum thread, from when will UKBA consider the receipt of my application?

Is it the 'Date of receipt by the UKBA' or the 'Date of acknowledgement'?

(PS: I came on a family visa for just 10days, 4 months prior to spouse visa) and want to make sure I want to apply on the right time based on my physical presence and I only have 10days window period ).
