sanky_001 wrote:Dear All,

Sorry, I don't mean to deviate this topic and i feel this is the best place to have my questions answered as this is important for my British Citizenship (BC) application.

You mention:

Date of receipt by the UKBA (Royal Mail Tracking )
Date of acknowledgement

To qualify for BC, UKBA says to be physically present in the UK 3yrs before the day you apply (in my case - spouse of BC route) 'when they receive the application' to qualify residential requirement.

So based on this forum thread, from when will UKBA consider the receipt of my application?

Is it the 'Date of receipt by the UKBA' or the 'Date of acknowledgement'?

(PS: I came on a family visa for just 10days, 4 months prior to spouse visa) and want to make sure I want to apply on the right time based on my physical presence and I only have 10days window period ).

I thank you for all your time and would appreciate your feedback. You may PM me if this is going to deviate the topic which i dont intend to.

Thanks and best regards,
sanky

Hello Guys

I received by british citizenship approval on 05th Dec 2014. I need to arrange for oath ceremony but problem is that I am travelling to US on 22nd Dec 2014 and returning on 05th Jan 2015. Can you please suggest if I can go for ceremony before my travel on 22nd Dec and travel to US on my Indian passport?

In other words, how long I can travel on Indian passport after becoming british citizen?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

With all respect, you do multiple identical posts in Timelines only threads. Why not make your own topic and delete off-topic posts from here. It is not very nice to see new post, go and discover copies of your off-topic messages. I am still waiting and check timelines often...

You can travel upto 3months on your indian passport from the date of approval of British citizenship. But worth checking the indian embassy website.

You seem to be the only one who has problem with post here mate... there are others watching this forum as well so it would be good if you reduced number of post you are putting in here by replying to each messages on the forum... No offense meant mate

Congradualtions Vpichika! Very happy for you! :) :D :!:

abhiyutesh, I am not replying to every message. Sometimes I congradulate people, yes, I think this is nice. I said thanks to Sammy and politely asked to stop off-topic posts. If I Congradulate someone it is just one message. When someone starts off-topic conversation about his little concern, simultaneously copy-pasting to several Timelines threads, this creates many messages. You also posted copy-pasted message in Timelines only general thread. You did not even bother update it or delete/edit your message there. (http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... l#p1122253) You don't want to stop? Ok, you may continue if moderator don't mind. Just remember, you already got your approval and you make this forum more crappy place for at least one person who anxiously waiting. Would it be too hard for you to make a new topic? If this is such a big deal for you, I will try asking moderator. :) If moderator tells me I am wrong, I won't ask anymore.
