Will you be "visiting" the country you are travelling to, or be a "resident / worker"?
If I may ask, which country will you be travelling to?

Interviews are usually conducted for 1st passport but this is down to the consulate.
You might have difficulties with the countersignature as they would need to know you for 2 years and should be a professional who is British citizen, other British national or Commonwealth citizen (similar rules to when applying from the UK).
May be I am paranoid - but if one applies for the first passport after naturalization from a foreign country, can they question the discrepancy between what you said in the AN1 form and now about future intentions? Case worker guidance for AN1 shows that if some one is taking up an employment for more than 6 months abroad, then the application should be refused. I can understand that it might be difficult to revoke your citizenship now, but this is what I feel. May be the moderators have a different opinion.sushdmehta wrote:Regional Passport Processing Centre in Hong Kong

We don't know the full story. This offer to work abroad might have been offered after the OP applied for naturalisation several months ago. Life brings unexpected opportunities.

Why would this be an issue? Once you are British you can apply for a British passport whenever and wherever you wish.jay09 wrote:SKR,
Would you mind updating us on whether you were able to obtain your first british passport after naturalisation from overseas as you intended.
