Student pre June 2011 and comprehensive sickness insurance

Post by matthewg156 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 8:33 pm

Hi,

I am an EEA national applying for naturalisation. I was a student from Sept 2008 to Feb 2009 without comprehensive sickness insurance, but had a yellow registration certificate in 2008 as part of being a student.

I believe under the transitional arrangements for students pre June 2011 I can still count the Sept 2008 to Feb 2009 time as counting towards the 5 years of exercising treaty rights even though I didn't have CSI. Is this correct, and has anyone actually used this?

Thanks

Matthew
