Method of application: NCS
Date of receipt by UKBA: (Initial application): 11 Nov 2014
Date of OD requested: 01/05/2015 just before the 6 months anniversary.
Date of receipt of approval: Still Waiting
Other info: Original passport(s) covering the last 5 years period till the date of application specifically to satisfy the residence requirements and Original ESOL certificate has been requested too by the caseworker.

Received a letter with brown envelope in it addressed to UKBA Liverpool. I have sent it next day recorded delivery with self addressed prepaid envelope enclosed.

In my opinion if original documents has been requested then it means case is with the caseworker and obviously all checks have been done. So it seems that it is in final stages.

any other suggestion will be much appreciated.

Applied for BC in August
Received letter in May, from a Mr Connely, CT3 asking for original evidence of how my wife supported herself from 2004 to 2010. Payslips, tax returns, P60, bank statements.
With some help from an advisor we wrote back stating that only bank statements available, no employment meant no tax info etc. We wrote quite a long letter stating how my wife did support herself through family and friends. No original bank statements could be sent, since that account was closed and we had to ask for copies. God knows how they expect folk to keep statements that far back. Maybe if one had a business it would make sense but not a personal account. Even HMRC don't ask us to keep anything more than seven years.
No reply so far.
My guess is that the HO are looking for more than just bad immigration history to refuse, even though the guidance is now pretty damning on this area. We shall see.....

Hello :)

Method of application: Solicitor
Date of receipt by UKBA: 30/10/2014
Date of OD requested: 11/04/2015 (dated 07/04/2015)
Date of receipt of approval: still waiting.
Other info: I was asked to send a proof of residence between 2009 and 2010, preferably my original travel document as soon as possible so they can come up with a decision by 28/04/2015. I sent it on Monday 13/04/2015 on special next day delivery and it was with the case worker the next day. My sister applied at the same time as me and received her approval on 29/04/2015 in a special delivery envelope and was strangely dated 07/04/2015.

Good luck all!

I should have been more clear. Applied in August 2014 via NCS. Nothing until March this year, when we had this letter asking for a lot of original documents going back ten years or more. Dunno why I said May.....it was in March we had the letter from a Mr Conelly. So far no further news.
It's interesting wording on the letter, because it's written in one way to instil fear, like "all original documents" and if these are not forthcoming, instant refusal....etc etc. Then it says, if you have any difficulty providing documents please contact us! I feel sorry for these caseworkers since Dec 2014, their workload just increased. But I suppose in one way they don't care, the rules state it can take maybe a year to give an answer!
Compared to many other countries, this one offers a pretty opaque service.

Above u mentioned OD requested on 27 March but below that u r saying it was requested on 27 April.
If it was requested on 27 April then I think you will be having ur brown envelope very soon providing all other checks r completed.

Was ur case straight forward?

Just for the sake of information

Dont spend extra money to get anything delivered to HO on Saturday's. I paid extra for Saturday delivery and it wasn't delivered on Saturday when I called Royal mail to check they informed me that HO Liverpool office do not accept any deliveries on Saturdays.

It shouldnt be taking that long after ur caseworker got what he/she looking for.
Did ur caseworker mention in the letter that he/she will make a decision after receiving the documents?
She said I have to send my original documents before 28/4/2015 so I am guessing it's the deadline she needs to meet? Someone in the forum had a similar situation and was told that the date mentioned in the letter is the deadline for making a desicion I believe

The date caseworker mentioned on the letter is a deadline to send the documents and u can extend that too by giving HO a valid reason. It is not a deadline to make a decision but normaly decision will not take longer if original docs r requested as application should be on final stages by then.

Hi ,
I applied for ilr in may 2015, October 2015 rejected and all originals documents return to expect my passport . We appeal the case and hearing date was on 3rd of November 2016. By December 23 received a letter from tribunal that we won the case and home offfice to return the court fees .

Home office didn't appeal against the decision and in Jan 2017 first week I received the money ( court fees ).

Today received a letter from home office asking for original documents . I am worried bcos these are the documents they return and asking for them again . Will they go against the tribunal decision ?? Why asking for documebts again .
