Applied under Humanitarian and Compassionate Considerations

Post by neoblast » Wed Jun 01, 2016 10:53 pm

Hi everyone,
Hopefully you guys can provide some guidance in this matter. In May 2015 I applied for Immigration benefits under Humanitarian grounds WHILE IN CANADA and now I received a letter from CIC for medical and to conduct background check.

The only issue is that I have since moved to the United States as my wife filed benefits for me there. I would very much like to continue the process and eventually return to Canada with my family. I check on the CIC website and found out that I can do the medical in FL where I reside and I can also do the background check no problem.

My question is: Am I still eligible for the benefits I applied for since I left Canada?

Any answer would be greatly appreciated.
