Hi all
I am Irish citizen and my mother is non eu citizen. I am working in UK since 1st of September2014 and living in UK. My non eu mother enter UK without any kind of visa or EEA Family Permit and living with me. She is 70 years old and my dependant.

I want apply EEA2 Residence Card for her, I to know that is that fact on her application that she enter UK without any EEA Family Permit or any kind of visa.

And what documents I need to enclose with her application for EEA2 please.
Thanks

Hi
Sorry, I don't know what you mean. EEA2 is an application for a residence certificate for a non-EEA national, i.e. your mother.
If you're thinking about something else, please let us know.

Hi Johannes,
I applied the same day as you and I also got the CoA but without the right to work as I am the unmarried partner of an EU citizen. Did you apply as married couple? Please keep us posted when you receive your documents and residence card.

We applied on 2nd October (was received on 3rd) and we got the acknowledgement letter on 10th October (dated 6th October). Still no COA either. I requested our passports back via the online system.

Hope we get some news soon!

Hello guys
Applied on 18/09/14
COA received after a week with right to work
I dont know why but im not even 50 % sure we will get eea2 this time. We been married since 2008 and have 2 kids, already had one eea2 in 2009 but because i didnt get back to work after maternity leave and forgot about csi we dont qualify for eea4 :x
I'm a full time student at the moment and my husband is working full time. We also get tax credits and a bit of housing benefit, not sure how it will affect out application. I'm worried if it will be declined i will have to quit my studies and look for a job anjd hubby will be deported back to his homeland...

Documents posted :
passports
marriage sertificate
house contract
council tax and water bills
bank statements 3 months
my college enrolment letter
student finance grant letter
CSI sertificate and all the details for all of us
husbands p60 and last 3 payslips
my declaration about studying and my husband supporting me and kids

forgot to mention that last time in 2009 eea2 was approved within 2 weeks though i was working then

This forum is getting boring unlike before it's busy all the time.my application has taken more than 6 months.Has anyone application taking longer than 6 months?.Also can someone share advice with me on how to deal with them when application is more than 6 months period.

Hey all, I've been secretly creeping on this group for awhile to see people's timelines. Now that I've gotten my EEA2 I decided I should post mine.

I'm American, my husband is a German student.
Application received by UKBA: 19/08/14
COA with right to work received: 1/09/14
EEA received: 25/10/14

Good luck everyone!

Hi Zoe, I called the home office last week to enquire about getting our passports back as we've booked holiday travel. The guy didn't explicitly tell me the stage of my application but he did give me a hint that a decision had been made and I should expect my documents back soon, unless I was randomly selected for an additional check (which he says happens about 20% of the time). I wasn't selected I guess but maybe that is what happened to you. Or hopefully it will be on it's way soon!

Hi all,

Here's my timeline:

I'm non eu, wife's dual irish/British and we live in NI.
We applied for eea2 Oct 3 2012.
got coa with right to work Oct 17
eea2 refused based on dual citizenship July 2013. We appealed desicion and it was refused July 2014. Yeah I know... :| :| a whole year just waiting for an appeal at the tribunal.
Anyways... We had to send in a new application eea2 and wife's renunciation of British citizenship rn1 on the same day 3rd August 2014.
application received on the 4th
payments taken 8th August
coa received 23rd no right to work
renunciation received 8th October
original passport of wife with stamped renunciation form sent to caseworker the next day.
residence card issued on 20th October. And received on the 24th. Now that's a long 2 year journey.

I received the COA, so my timeline so far is:

Application sent: 8.10.2014
Acknowledgement letter received: 15.10.2014 ( dated 10.10.2014)
Confirmation Email with the Case ID: 23.10.2014
Certificate of application: received 27.10.2014 (dated 23.10.2014)

I requested our passports back today.

Our updated timeline:
Application received by HO: 3.10.2014
Acknowledgement letter received: 10.10.2014 ( dated 6.10.2014)
Confirmation Email with the Case ID: 23.10.2014
Certificate of application: received 27.10.2014 (dated 22.10.2014)

Almost the same as the poster right above me.

Hi Dear

I read the links which you sent. I am still unclear that my mother enter UK without any visa. Now if I apply EEA2 residence permit for my mother. Do the EEA Department can make any hurdle that she enter UK without any visa
Thanks

With you exercising your treaty rights as an EEA national and if you can prove her dependency on you, her immigration history is of little or no relevance.
