Hey guys,

Just wanna share some experience here since this forum had been helpful.

We are Romanian amd Pakistani couple and unfortunately there are hell lot of sham marriages happening with these two nationalities that I feel ashamed of. This made our life stressed as hell for 6 Months and 26 Days. We had letters calls MP and SOLVIT... All sorts of experiences.

I'd just suggest you to beware that you should get your passport back while submitting application (add a cover) if you have travels planned ahead. It could take up to 20 days coz certain nationalities don't deserve equal treatment in this world ofcourse.

If you have to travel during your application then you MUST call HO and inform them. Don't skip this one.

Lastly, if any one who is playing up sham marriages and happens to read my message, then you should know how much genuine couples and their newly babies and/or children suffer because of your deeds. What we have been through i wish no one would face it.

I'd request you guys to report if you happen to spot people who are using this very website to misuse the information shared here.

UKVI has a process that you can't fool them anymore with fake marriages so don't bother, you would be detained on the spot!

At last got my passport back exactly in 10days in my postpaid envelope I've sent with my application for returning documents. :) Now time to try my luck with employment, without passport  it was impossible to get job as at many occasions i was refused because of having no passport. :?:

Application sent: 13/11/14
HO received: 14/11/14
Acknowledgement letter: 22/11/14 and letter dated 17/11/14

I haven't received any email yet. Do they sent all applicants with email?
And also still haven't receive COA yet.

Some applicants who passed their application later than me has their COA already.

:( WORRIED :(

Hi,

great to read all about useful information being shared on this forum.

i have been inactive for a long time from the site.

Can some one please help me in the given situation i have here, just couldn't find any guidance in UK Immigration Law or EU Law.

Me and my children are in UK under successful sing law, I have children from previous marriage not from British wife.
But now she is (British step-mother) not behaving nice with my kids. one of daughter is in Medical problem (Asthmatic & Eczema), its been 8 months they joined me in UK & saw their mother. Their mother is also willing to take children back in this situation.
I don't want kids to go back. please advise if the non-EEA Parent of non-EEA child living under EU Law in UK can join them or apply for EEA Family Permit or Access to child right which is also not a case as kids are not British or settled yet?

just to add one more thing my daughter has British Birth Certificate and was born in UK when my ex was living with me 8 years ago.
I have been looking for all sorts of information but couldn't find a solution for this case.

if Gurus can advise on this case would be really helpful.
Regards,

Have you worked in another EU state? If not, then they are right to refuse you. You can't get an EEA2 residence card for your wife if you are British, unless you have excessed treaty rights (worked/been self-employed) in another EEA country (e.g. France/Italy). You, of course, could work in the other country for a few months (some say 3 months plus 1 day/others say 6 months) and THEN apply for your wife to get an EEA Family Permit to join you in the UK. After she arrives, you can apply for a residence card on EEA2.

If you don't want to complete the steps mentioned above, you will have to apply via the UK Immigration Rules and apply for a spouse visa for your wife (from her country of origin), fulfilling the financial requirements (and others).

Sorry to say that it's really hard to tell how long they will take or if they are going to interview/visit you! It would be best if you were to prepare for all eventualities. There are a number of threads on here about home visits and interviews. It would be a good idea to become familiar with them in any case.

Hi chaoclive
Thanks for reply. Family members of a UK CITIZEN i would of thought should be go given a resident card without any problems.
If you correct you could have foreign nationals given resident card and close members of uk citizen family having to file immigration papers and pay visa fees. Thats discrimination against UK citizen family members
