Can you tell a bit more about your case ? Did you apply as married or unmarried couple ? How was the home visit ? It took them a while to visit your house.YOZ wrote:Hi guys,

Thank you Rchard W for your answer.Richard W wrote:Rough and ready answers in case you can't find a more definitive answer.
1) Quick 2) Very rare, if ever. I think it's to confirm that the CoA is not bad quality. 3) None. 4) I don't see why length of contract need be affected. Some contracts specify, directly or indirectly, what will happen if a right to work cannot be demonstrated as prescribed by the SS, or if you fall sick, etc. You may be able to sue the Home Office if you are wrongfully refused an RC; in non-EEA cases, there is no justice in corresponding circumstances. It seems that while you appeal, you can get a fresh CoA, and there wouldn't be any point if they were always negative.
Some bowdleriser (automatic, I hope), has totally corrupted my answer to the questionseitaj wrote:Thank you Rchard W for your answer.Richard W wrote:...2) Very rare, if ever. I think it's to confirm that the CoA is not bad quality...
I'm inclined to believe that the the HO does issue bad quality CoAs (i.e., wrong preliminary decision) and generally does not correct them, contrary to what the board now represents me as having written.seitaj wrote:2) Is there any case that the Home Office gives negative answer although they provided me with a CoA with right to work?

Hi,hsn86 wrote:Hi,
I just applied for EEA2-FM, as a married spouse of EU national. I have some questions about my application;
1- I got my EEA Family Permit in January in abroad. I already enrolled my biometrics on my EEA Family Permit application. Do I need to enroll another one as a part of EEA2-FM application? Or will I receive my COA without enrolling biometrics?
2- As I know, I will receive my biometric card as a separate, credit card size, document. So when can i request my passport earliest?
Thank you in advance.
Hi steeev1,steeev1 wrote:I applied for EEA-FM resident card (spouse of an EEA member)
01/04/2016 (Fri) - Documents received (signed) by home office
06/04/2016 (Wed) - Payment taken
20/04/2016 (Wed) - Requested passports back
I haven't heard back at all - letters / emails / calls / case number.
1. Is it a reasonable timeline? (I don't think so looking at others).
2. Is there a phone number or email address where I can ask if everything is all right? As in perhaps something got lost in the mail? They make it look like I can't ask questions until 6 months had passed.
Thanks
Hi seitaj,seitaj wrote:Hi Everyone,
I need to ask something regarding my Certificate of Application and Employment. I Applied on January 13th for EEA (FM) and received me Certificate of Application with the Right to Work on February 10th which means it has already been 2 months and 12 days. My future Employee wants to make me a job offer but he first wants to check my eligibility with the home office. At this point I need to ask 1) How long does the process take for the home office to reply? 2) Is there any case that the Home Office gives negative answer although they provided me with a CoA with right to work? 3) Does it make any difference if I want to work for a restaurant or a big IT company? 4) Does this affect the duration of my contract? If anyone has been through this process please let me know. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for pointing out that thread. I see that everyone who tried to contact the home-office received useless answers. I also need to travel in 10 days, I see the chances of receiving back my passport are slim (especially without a case number).yulis wrote:Hi steeev1,
In my case, it took about 3 weeks from submitting the application until Biometric enrollment invitation letter received and then you will receive Certificate of Application (COA) letter contains Ref. No. only after submitting Biometric enrollment. See related post on the thread below:

Hi yulis, thank you for the link. My future Employer submitted the form last Monday (25/04/2016) and expected a reply today but of course we are talking about HO so there was no response. I hope that there will be one soon. Do you think they should contact the HO again? Do you know of any other cases ?yulis wrote:Hi seitaj, seitaj wrote:Hi Everyone,
