EEA2 work-travel

Hi everone!!!
I have some questions , please help me, answer someone know the result.

EEA2 applyed 05.july.2010
HO received it 06.july.2010
EEA FP entry clearance expire 13.july.2010
I'm waiting for CAO.

1, can I work now before having CAO?
I'm looking for a job ,but I have no my passport,,,,

2,what does CAO say ??
someone say CAO says that 'you can work when you're waiting for the RC.'
but someone say they don't say anthing about the work....
does it depend on people...?

3. can I travel ?
I want to ask HO for return my passport when I got CAO.
then, if I travel , do I have to ask for EEA FP entry clearance again to come back to the UK?

I heard one girl got PC after applying 8 weeks!!!
but many people are waiting for it so long time,,,,
