Irrespective of visa issues, don't do it, Belgian tax is crippling and as tax is due where the work is done, you can't avoid it.Mohammed1812 wrote:Dear Experts
I am a ILR holder in the UK for past 3 years . I am in a process of acquiring a contracting position in Brussels.
But the company in brussels has said it cant sponsor a WP and i need to join by 1st week of March.
Please could you advise my options if possible i currently work full-time in the UK in a senior position .
your help is very much appreciated
Kind Regards,
Mohammed
Won't work, business visas preclude actual productive work, only covers you for meetings, presentations etc. And they are only 90 days (in every 180) anyway.Mohammed1812 wrote:Thank you Very much Appreciated .
Yes i saw the Wall street journal last week about belguim TAX issue.
TBH the offer is quite tempting.
Will this work .
I set up a limited company in the UK and raise the Invoice and the client pays me here ,
I Travel to Belguim on a Business visa temp for 6 months and i apply for my GB passport here in the interim ?
Need to somehow work this out . I am eligible for GB passport longtime back .
