Regarding your query it depends how busy they are.My appeal was mentioned within 1 month after the appeal was filed.Just wait the court will inform you of the hearing date.

My hearing was in London not in birmingham thou

Have you got legal help with your appeal?Has your husband and hild been give right of appeal? There could be an article 8 case but you need to seek legal help to prevent the removal of your family.

Welcome to the world of immigration tribunals.Unfortunately that is how the home office behaves in some cases.Tell your lawyer to ask the homeoffice to pay for your expenses incurred for that day.

The court will write to you again with details of another hearing. In the meantime try not to worry about your depedants until they are detained and a removal date has been set.

Your lawyer will know how to cancel the removal
