Post by ATO1 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 10:51 am

Please i will appreciate advice with regards to my subject above. Am a non EU spouse married to an Irish citizen. i have obtained my residence card(GNIB) and planning to visit UK on a short holiday with my my step children . Am a bit confuse about the freedom of movement of the EU spouse and seek advice if i require to obtain a visiting visa to the UK or not based on my status as a non EU spouse of an Irish citizen

Typically, freedom of movement of an EEA spouse is restricted to either traveling with the spouse or traveling to meet the spouse. I do not believe that travel with other family members is included. You may require a visa. But I believe that the visa would be free.
