Is a graduate student have a right to full time job?

A friend of mine has asked me to post this question:

He is from Ukraine and has just now completed completed his studies at university in London. His visa is set to expire in 3 month so he decided to work. He has a job offer from a small accounting company offering him full time job. And he is wondering whether he is able to work full time legally or not.

Could you please advise? I am sure someone here has already come across this fairly simple situation.

I think not as he is not a student anymore. However I wouldn't trust me, wait for others opinion!
