Lost BRP and found later

Post by farideo » Sat Feb 13, 2016 9:59 pm

Hi

My wife has lost her BRP during our trip in Madrid, we reported it lost & stolen to Home Office online using gov.uk website, and received the instructions by email on what to do next. However, we have found the BRP now! (we are still in UK). Email said they cancelled the BRP, does it mean we have got no chance to withdraw our application for cancelling the visa and still use previously lost BRP to enter the UK?

If no, it looks like we have to proceed with visa application, and "extend" our holidays for more than a week...

I'm confused. You say you are still in the UK so why would you need to use the 'lost' BRP to re-enter? :? ...and why are planning to submit a visa application?
