Am I reading this correctly? Settlement Visa *- Dependent Relative is almost tripling, from £585 to £1680?

With much regret, I think you are reading that correctly. Ouch!

And the new fee for converting such a visa to ILR ..... again .... ouch!

And how about that new £15000 fee?

Thanks for the link John,

To be honest I can see what the motive is and to be honest again I agree with it.

It's elderly dependant relatives who've never paid into the system, this at least gets something back.

Are the differences between estimated (actual) costs and proposed fees for applications to the UKBA justified considering the poor customer service and some unwarranted delays experienced by applicants?

Does anyone know the reasons for this big differences? Are they all justified?

Isn't the elderly relative don't get anything from the system?, i.e., they don't get any benefit and they have to rely 100% to their sons and daughter who brough them here!
