Biometrics appointment in the US

I'm applying for a family visa to join my husband in the UK, and I am having a problem figuring out how to make a biometrics appointment at a USCIS office. There is one near me in Charlotte, NC, but the website only seems to give information on appointments for people coming into the country. Can someone who has completed this process please advise? Thanks!

Im not sure WHERE (which wesbite) you mean you are trying to make a biometrics appointment but when you apply online you then have the next step to make a biometrics appointment. I think they ask for your zip code and they automatically assign you the closest office near you. That's what I did with mine.

Okay, thanks! I've not submitted my full application to the UK yet as I'm still waiting for my new passport to arrive, so I was just looking on the USCIS site for appointment info!
