Spouse Dependent visa - PR to Citizen - any change required?

Post by stitaprajna » Thu Jan 23, 2014 1:22 pm

Hi All,

I got a UK dependent visa when my spouse was an PR(ILR holder).
Now, she has got a Citizenship.
Does my UK visa status change? Is there anything I need to do about my visa?
If I am eligible for any upgrade of visa status, do I have any additional advantages?

Thanks.
Many Thanks,
Stit

It is the same visa as spouse of ILR holder or British Citizen, no change needed. You can apply for ILR when you meet the standard requirements.

Extension of Spouse visa

Post by stitaprajna » Sat Sep 26, 2015 10:27 pm

I got a dependent visa as spouse of my wife who had an ILR then. But, now she has got a British citizenship. My visa will be expiring in couple of months and I need to prepare for an extension.
I would be grateful if someone could please suggests what is the visa category that is applicable for me and suitable links/resources.

Many thanks,

Payment of the new NHS surcharge of £500 will also have to be paid online before submitting the FLR(M) application. This is in addition to the £649 visa fee for a postal application, or £1049 if applied for in person at a PSC.
