FLR(M) success_husband change employment after application

Post by maimai2911 » Mon Nov 09, 2015 2:07 pm

hi guys,

at first i would like to thank all your helps here in the forum. I just received my decision last weekend after 8 weeks, no interview, no phone call just straight application. My husband changed employment after we handed the application in which was very stressful. i believe there are people in the same situation with us therefore i would like to share our list of document and what we have done:

I called the home office's help line and got advice from one of them to include a letter to explain the situation and to include both my husband's old and new employment. they also advised us to use category A because technically he was still employed by his old company (until a week after we handed in the application). I know the phone line is not always reliable however in this case it was correct.

our list of document:
Applicant:
cover letter,
contract
employment letter states my salary, job title and type of contract(rolling contract)
6 months pay slips
P60
6 months bank statements
degree certificate (for english requirement)

sponsor
cover letter
current employer's(at the time of application): contract
current employer's(at the time of application) letter
6 months pay check
6 months bank statement-he only used online banking so he just download them online and printed them out. caseworkers were fine with it
does not include his P60
new employer's contract
new employer's letter

relationship
Marriage certificate
wedding photos and cards
pictures of us during the past few years
phone bills
utility bills and council tax ( again we just downloaded and printed them-the pdf ones look exactly like the one they sent via mail)
landlord's letter+ tenancy (we does not have any check carried out, just landlord confirm only two of us in our flat and the flat is big enough for 2 people. tenancy only has my name as lead tenant)

my timeline:
application hand in: 10/9/15
Acknowledgement letter: 15/9/15
biometric letter:17/9/15
biometric taken: 18/9/15
document +decision: 6/11/15
