FLR(M) visa expiry

Post by jorgos82 » Tue May 27, 2014 9:53 am

Hi,

just got married in UK and intending to visit Croydon office in person.

I have indefinite leave to remain and my wife tier 4 visa that is due to expire on 30/08/2014.

Is form FLR(M) correct?

Can she still apply from within Uk with visa due to expire in less then 3 months?

Thanks for your help

Yes, FLR(M) is correct and within the UK is fine. A1 English and financial requirement to be met.

Hi,

many thanks for your answer.

i`m on 41k and she has Masters Diploma from Kingston Uni so that side is fine as far as I understand it.

Only thing I was worried about is her visa expiring fairly soon.

Thanks again

When is she applying for the spouse visa in Croydon? As her visa expires in August, she needs to apply before her Tier 4 visa expires.

She will be on a 5 year route to ILR/Settlement.

We will book appointment for some time next week.

I got mine ILR on long residence basis, suppose that doesn`t change anything?

No, unfortunately it doesn't. Hopefully you can get an appointment next week!! The full FLR(M) fees are payable at the point of booking online, just so that you are aware.

She will be issued a spouse visa for 2.5 years and then she will have to renew on FLR(M) again for a further 2.5 years, before she can apply for ILR on SET(M), meeting the requirements at each stage and LIUK for ILR.

How long has she been in the UK? She will only be able to apply for ILR sooner if she also reaches 10 years long residence, for example.
