Nearly 15 weeks now...Still nothing.

I contacted my MP a week ago and he has also submitted a request. He is also getting the silent treatment....

All my correspondence is going through my solicitor so there is a few days delay.

It seems it has taken longer for letters to be sent by HO compared to other applications. Hope this isn't a sign that of things to come.

I need my docs back ASAP as I intend to travel at the end of November.

Application signed for - 26/08/2016 (Day 1)
Payment taken - 30/08/2016 (Day 5)

Biometrics given - 13/09/2016 (Day 19)
BRP received - 13/10/2016 (Day 49)
Response letter and documents received - 14/10/2016 (Day 50)

Great. My timeline is pretty much similar except I sent my wife's application 1 week after yours. SO hoping it arrives this week so I can book a much needed Holiday.

I hope you're sorted very soon.

I've just booked my flights.

I really can't understand why it takes so long to process an application when all they really need to do is check the evidence provided and work through a tick list.

The mind boggles.

Hi guys, I'm a Vietnamese applying to stay with my husband in the UK (FLRM). I've been waiting for more than 5 months and there is still no news from the UKBA. I'm getting very worried. Here is my Timeline:
23/05/2016: my solicitor sent the application
4/07/2016: received a letter requesting biometric info
8/07/2016: biometric info taken at Chorley post office
and I haven't heard anything since.
How long does it take for the Home Office to process FLR(M) application? I read on the GOV website that it should be processed within 8 weeks. However, my solicitor said it could take up to 6 months. Is it true? Does this happen to you before?

hi everyone

I thought I would post my timeline as well as the waiting time has been an absolute nightmare for me, given that I was due to travel as well.

Applied at the Premium Service in Croydon - 9 September 2016
Approval letter received - 9 September 2016
Reported that the card had not arrived onilne - 26 September
Sent written letter to PSC - 6 Oct (i should add that it's pointless sending a letter as no one bothers acknowledging it or replying to you)
Received response from BRP Delivery saying the card was produced and should be out for delivery within 10 days - 12 October
10 days later still nothing!!
Contacted my MP and reported through the online form again - 24 October
Received response from BRP Delivery saying the card was produced and should be out for delivery within 10 days - 26 Oct (exact response i received on 12 October! At this point I thought it was all a bigjoke)
BRP received - 2 November 2016 (nearly 2 months later!!)

No one tells you it can take that long for the BRP card to arrive if you have attended the PSC. I guess that's not an issue but in some cases one needs the card urgently for work/travel purposes. Anyway I would suggest keep chasing through the online form. There is really no point calling them on 03001232241 as it's just a call centre and they can only see if you've sent an enquiry and whether it's been dealt with.

What seemed to help in my case was contacting my MP.

Good luck to all waiting!

I finally received my biometrics card today after waiting 16 weeks! They sent us a letter the 17th of October stating they required further information (information we already provided but it couldn't be scanned/copied proof). I found it insulting that they asked me to prove I've been here since June when they had my passport and documents since then. How are you able to prove it you're employed or have bank accounts when you can't even provide them with identification? I think the letter was an excuse to make up for their extremely slow service. Needless to say I now am on track to receive my visa any day now. Best of luck to those who are still waiting. My suggestion is get in contact with your local MP and threaten legal action. That's the only way I've been able to get our application moving.

Hi,

I will be applying for FlR m extension after intial 2.5 yrs. I have recntly changed my job. left earlier employer on 29 aug 16 and started another job on 1st oct 16.

Will that be a problem if theres one month gap in employment????
I have got 13 payslips from last employer and when you add up its £19,600 + 2 payslips from new emlpoyer as per £25000 gross?????? will that be enough?????
If we haven't got joint letters what are the other options?????
In which order I should attach letters to my application?????

my Mrs got british passport and got little boy of one year with British citizenship.

Please update asap. I will be applying for premium service.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Hardik,

These questions marks are for help not to show any anger. I know very well this forum is for help but some people take it different way or the way they think. If you can advise me thats fine & will be appreciated if not don't show your attitude bcoz you have got your visa granted.

Cheers
