I did a status check yesterday and received the
The below reply! Has anyone received this reply

My husband did biometrics on the 29th September!
I did a status check in October and they said it was yet to be assesed by an ECO! Am really confused!

and found that there are no current updates. This could be
because your application was submitted recently or the details that you
have provided above are incorrect.

If it is the former you may contact us at a later stage once our records
have been updated. We will be happy to give you the current status of your
application. If the information provided is incorrect then please provide
the 9-digit GWF number and the date of birth of the applicant.

Alternatively, once the process has been completed and a decision has been
made the visa application centre will be in contact as per process.

Though we try our best to complete the visa application process in 15
working days, each application is subject to an individual assessment and
processing times may vary, hence applicants are requested to be patient and
wait for the processing to be completed. You can check how long you'll have
to wait for a decision on your visa application in your country (if you
applied from outside the UK) by entering your details at the following

Everyone of us has received this email at the start. It's a generic email, don't worry. :)

I see, inshaallah hoping you get good news soon!

I am more annoyed about the priority fee they have taken, and then stating its in a normal que!

It looks like most priority visas have been dealt with within 15 days! The more i read the more stressed i get! Especially seeing how long an appeal takes!

Insha Allah you and everyone waiting will get good news.
however, your received your docs quite late? my friend has the same situation- paid for priority and forgot to send prepaid envelope. but he did send the envelope few days after he sent original docs and did not receive his docs back yet. 10 weeks have already passed for him. I wish you all the best.
it is probably they are doing rigorous checks. some people have received the results within one of the biometric day. it is all on luck.
btw i have received my docs back after 3 days of docs submission and did my 1st status update ad they came back with- it is yet to be assessed by ECO....i am too starting to get a bit anxious but Insha Allah all will be ok :)

Yes that's the first status email I received from them. I just checked my documents and realise I forgot to send priority print out however my wife when visited vfs for biometric provide them with a print out and they mentioned it on passport envelope. Does it effect timings in process.

i am not sure if it affects the timings or not. however i did attached the priority receipt in my docs as well as my wife took it to Gerry's office on biometric day. having said that, my friend who is still waiting for his decision called them yesterday and asked them why he has not not they sent his docs back and mentioned about priority. Also, he asked them if the priority receipt was needed with the document sent. the reply was that ECO would expect the receipt to be shown with the application document and it could have an affect on the timing. and they also said that turn around time is 12 weeks to 24 weeks for spouse application now. I am not sure how it works. it should automatically show on their system if priority is paid.
