Hi Chohans,
Thanks for the email address. I came across that email address online but because it ends in .gov.uk i assumed that email is UK based.
I tried calling Hatton cross again today but still 'call failed' :x

Let me know if you contacting the MP helps

Hi Chohans ,

Thanks for the update
Yes my husband posted the form back today. They should get it by next Tuesday InshaAllah
At the time i appealed, i paid my solicitor and My solicitor paid the fee from his own account.
Get ur husband to fill in section A,B and D on the form
Section A is ur bank name, account holder name and bank address
And Section B ur account number & sort code
Section D is just sign and post
On the letter at the bottom it says they need the original copy of that form so give ur husband all the detail and get him to just post it direct from there to the return address coz it needs his signature on it to be accepted

I finally got my through today to the presenting officers unit :D
They told me they STILL have not received the paperwork back
But the women i spoke to said she has a copy of the determination letter on her system so she will just email it to the India Mumbai embassy today
She told me to check with the embassy on Monday

Means ur ahead of me as urs was sent a week ago
Ur husband will probably get his call letter before us

Im probably gona wait until end of next week and then get in touch with the MP seeing as my determination was only sent today and embassy will be closed on Tuesday for Eid

But please do let me know if u have any updates and i will do the same

Hi All,

My wife recently got her settlement visa. I hold an Indefinite leave to remain. Here are my timelines:

Application Submitted - 8 May 2014
Status on 27 May 2014 - Application deferred because of further investigation (no extra documents were asked for and no reason was given on why application is deferred)
Application Processed and Ready to Collect - 24 July 2014

I work as director of a limited company. The list of documents submitted are:

Personal Details

Main Form
Original Passport
Appendix 2 (Financial Requirement form)
English Language Proof - IELTS test certificate
Tuberculosis test certificate

Sponsor Details

Copy of Sponsors Passport
Copy of Sponsors Biometric Card
Sponsorship Undertaking form (SU07)

Evidence of Marital Status

Marriage Certificate - 2 Certificates of Husband and Wife
Wedding Cards
Wedding Photos - 7 Photos
Phone Statements - Last 6 Month UK calling card statements

Evidence to meet financial requirement

Current Appointment Report of the company
Annual Return of the company
Company Incorporation certificate
VAT Registration certificate
Accountant Letter
Payslips - 12 payslips from April 2013 to March 2014
Dividend Voucher - 4 Vouchers for Last Financial Year (2013/14)
Company Accounts
Employment History - Last 5 Years HMRC employment history
P60 - Last 5 Years
Personal Bank Statements - Bank Statements from 1 April 2013 to 30 April 2014
Business Bank Statements - Bank Statements from 1 Feb 2013 to 31 March 2014

Accommodation Evidence

Rent Agreement
Water Bill
Gas Bill
Council Tax

Overall my experience has been one of frustration with UKVI providing no meaningful information on the progress of the application. My wife called the new helpdesk (one which charges more than 1£ per minute), spoke to them for 15 minutes but they gave no information apart from telling her that it is under process. They also told her incomplete and baseless information like normally uk settlement visa takes 6 months. The processing times page of UKVI is much more accurate to be honest.

I have been a silent onlooker of this forum and would like to say thanks as it helped me a lot in the application process.

Thanks

Hi Yazzy,

I got a letter from the MP today saying:

Thank you for your email
I have contacted UK Visas and immigration in order to support your case and have been informed that the Entry Clearance Officer was notified of the outcome of this case on 11th July.
It could take normally up to 6 weeks from 11th July - and possibly longer - until your husband hears from the authorities in India.
I am pleased to have been of assistance to you on this occasion.

Not sure whether contacting him helped or not....

Hi Chohans,

6 WEEKS and possibly longer! OMG its just 1 delay after another
I highly doubt they will take that long
I got a feeling you will hear something next week InshaAllah

Looks like the MP wasn't much help but at least you have a rough guide line now and can start counting down the 6 weeks...
Its already been 2 weeks

Just keep emailing the embassy every week pushing them

They said the embassy is closed tomorrow but my husband should be contacted in the next few days or sometime next week

I'm not sure if i believe them
But if we don't hear anything by end of next week i will just call them again
