hi all,

my wife was called for interview to Islamabad bhc on 2/07/2014. they tested her on English. she only managed to answer a couple of the questions. they said gerrys will contact her within 5 days. most people got their visas on day of interview.

wondering why not us? my guess the eco will investigate further re my wife's English. anyone in same situation?

Salam All,

Have only just come across this board.

Timeline
Applied - 14/02/14
City - Islamabad
Visa Type - Spousal Visa for wife

Updates

27/02/14 - waiting ECO
10/06/14 - called UKIV - advised waiting to be processed
09/07/14 - called UKIV - advised that further documentation required (visa delayed). They would not advise what information they require over the phone - i want to provide any relevant information as quickly as possible so me and my wife can be together and get on with our lives.

Does anyone know the following
1) what sort of timescales apply to receiving letter/email of what further documentation is required?
2) how long they take to process after you have sent required documents back?

i also had fone interview on 16/07/2014
any idea about how long it will take further?
And why are they taking fome interview rather than face 2 face ones? As majority of people had to go to BHC for the interview..

Hi everyone our Spouse Visagot rejected
We are looking to appeal
Could someone explain the process and how long it would take and what are the odds
The reason of refusal is they didn't believe I was working as I took time off for Birth of our twins so our pay slips were not cconsistent
We want to appeal we have children together
I'm in tears Iddon't know what to do
... Rubbish

Awww i am sorry to hear that. Please don't lose hope. I would suggest you to make a fresh application as appeal cases take ages. But this time do your homework and make sure all the paper work is complete. People have also given the list of all documents you require on this forum too. i saw someone got their visa in three weeks time after the refusal. So prepare a new application. InshAllah you will be fine.

Stay Blessed
xx

Sorry to hear that dont lose hope InShAllah everything will b ok soon. Appeal can take upto 8 months but do consult solicitors before appeal they can explain you how many chances of winning you have. I've heard if you lose the appeal it is hard to get visa after that soo you need to see some solicitors. Have they given you 28 days to appeal? Our prayers are with you

Zamzam - really disappointed with your refusal. It even bought tears to my eyes.
Gather yourself together and fight on huni.
If you are in a position to re-apply that will be your best option as decisions are made alot quicker these days.
Appeal process is really long and it really depends how strong your case is. What inconsistencies were there in your payslips.
Applied 17th Jan 2014

Called for Interview 3rd July 2014

I find it quite absurd they refused you over an assumption that they think you never worked during your pregnancy.
Did they say anything abt your payslips ??

I am very sorry to hear your bad news, absolutely pathestic reason for refusal. I think it would be best you appeal, but bear in mind it is a lengthy process especially if decision does not get overturned at review.

Can i ask was your application put on hold?
Submitted Application: Feb 2012
Application Refused: Jul 2012
Appealed: Unsuccessfull
Reapplied: 27th Sep 2013
Application hold - Jan 2014

May Allah swt grant your dad jannah amonst all other muslims. Sister it is heart breaking to have heard your bad news. To others I would suggest a new application but in your case now that you are working less hours, you should appeal. Make sure all your documents are in order and please don't just rely on solicitors, ask for help.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

How many payslips did you provide.

What was the lowest payslip amount over the past 6 months up to the application? Were any of your payslips below £1,550?

The above will decide whether an appeal will be successful or not. If the amount was less than £1,550 then unfortunately the chances are slim. They will state minimum income threshold not met, and will not overturn the decision. All other facts will be disregarded. If however, all payslips for 6 months up to the visa application were above £1,550 then you can most definitely appeal and have a chance.

So, the killer question is......

Were any of the payslips below £1,550?
