Does one need to give their national ID card along with this authorisation letter?[/quote]

If your question refers to applicant than NO, they just need to give the application reference number and signature.
Person who collects will need to fill their section as detailed on the form.

It would have been good if you did because it only help strengthen you case but if you have not provided it do not worry about it.
I took print screen of Skype and it came 180 pages showing all the calls and the few messages I had sent, I wasn't able to get anything out of wats app and with Viber I took screen shots and it came to 98 pages. Once you take all the screen shots, open PowerPoint, in PowerPoint go to the Design tab > slide size option > Custom slide size, and in my case i used the following width 25.4cm and height 16cm. drag and drop the screen shots into PowerPoint (one page per screenshot) in the right order and at the end export your PowerPoint to .PDF and you have your Skype and or Viber history.
I have heard from immigration solicitor that they no longer accept physical hard copy of calling cards, you can as in my case provide purchase history from where ever you bought your cards from. yaa wedding photos and photos of your two taken anywhere else is very important, its good practice to write a short note on the back of photo, explaining where and when photo was taken.

But I hope this is enough for my case to be granted even though I didn't provide my passport stamped pages but inshallah I hope everyone gets there visas.

Congrats Haseb! What a joy it must be after a wait of 7 months, wish you all the best!

Really hope it doesn't take them this long once the backlog is cleared though. I'm still clinging to the hope of hearing something by Jan-Feb 2015.

You need to be patient as many people are waiting for the decisions for many months. The standard time to process the visas is 12 weeks but we should be prepared to wait many more months in addition to this according to UKVI.

Assalamwalikum Brothers n Sisters,

I've been following this forum for the past 4-5 months actively. Alhumdulillah my wife got the visa today however, the mental stress we have gone through during this process is something you can't explain in words. Let me share my case here just for those who wish seek more info or wants a bit of a relief.

I got married (nikkah on 31st March), applied for my wife's smart NICOP and new Passport.
application submitted on 15th April 2014. then a long pause until 15th October 2014. what a shame this is.
I've escalated this case 3 times with UKVI, Also contacted my local MP which took 3 weeks to get a response from them.

In my view, the agents who are dealing with your requests email requests or phone calls has nothing to do with the visa application status. They have a standard reply which I read on this forum as well, that's exactly what I get as well, even on the phone I made calls which cost me £23 for 12min (what a waste of money) has made no change/impact on escalations.

The fact is UKVI staff are lazy and idle to do their jobs. I totally agree with the comments/critics raised by one of our brother early on this forum by "cruiser2014". We all should complaint against them.

My point is if you pay that huge amount of money to someone in private in this country, they would do their best to deal with your situation and resolve the service within the committed time. but since UK is making money out this BUSINESS so why would they bother to improve or take actions on such things which is a money making machine for them.

back to the point, if anyone needs any sort of assistance/help, feel free to give me a shout.

I wish you all the best and good luck for your cases !

Kind Regards,
/Z.

Congratulation guestxyz. May Allah gives you and you wife a happy married life. Ameen!

When did you first escalated your case. I just escalated my wife case recently. Do you reckon I should request for another escalation for my wife case if I don't hear anything by next week?
