I received the email on friday morning, Documents received bhc Islamabad ! Settlements visa can take up to 12 weeks processing ... You have only just just given it in , so you wont be able to get an update on ur application, Personally I'm not even going to bother to track it. Their emails are probably generic anyway! Our applications are probably going to be in the que to be checked for at-least another few weeks.

December 13 I thought you have to submit photocopies aswell, weird they didn't accept yours!? Someone on this forum said that photocopies are only kept at Gerry's. I guess its the original stuff that matters really! :P
My hubby told me someone told him that apparently one of the senior staff had told the other staff not to accept photocopies. I sincerely hope that this issue isn't what's causing the delays.. :|

When my wife submitted her application at Gerry's, she also gave them a complete copy of all documents/photos etc etc.. But the guy at Gerrys said no need to submit copies so only the original application package was submitted.

Is this a new policy? Because on my previous applications we were required to provide both originals and photocopies....
Applied in Islamabad: 03/07/12
Refused: 14/11/12
Appealed: 26/11/12
Court Date: 02/09/2013
Appeal Unsuccessful.
Re-applied in Islamabad: 20/01/2014
Refused: 15/09/14
Court Date: 09/05/2015
Appeal allowed.
Awaiting call letter.

Not too sure about being a new policy because when my hubbys mate gave his application in a month before us in October they took the originals and the photocopies..

Hi,

My Spouse recently submitted her application (7weeks ago) at the Gerrys office in Mirpur, Pakistan. I have tried to contact UKBA and give them the GWF number to find out the progress of the application. They say that they cannot find this!!!

She did mention that it can take abit longer for it to come on their systems....anybody else experience this problem?

thanks
Hamza

Sometimes they give you a better response when you escalate your request. I also got a similar message as hamxa786. But after escalating it, the following day they emailed me with an update telling me that my wife's visa had been concluded. A few days later, my wife got a call to collect her documents. She got the visa in about 2.5 months.

I escalated my request the next day of making the 1st request to get an update of the latest status of the application. I let 2 months pass before contacting them for any update.

It means, they should hopefully give you a better status update on your application. To escalate contact them giving the following information… That's what I did and it seems that's what others have done as well.

Full name of applicant:
Application number (GWFxxxxxxxxx):
Visa application centre reference number:
Date of application:
Date of birth of applicant:
Place of application ( City and Country ):
Type of Visa applied:
Nationality:
Passport Number:
Reason:

Hey I don't think this is the reason why they're taking time, don't worry about it. Maybe they've changed things now?! Or maybe they pick and choose at Gerry's!? when my sis applied in 2012 they wanted photocopies so her husband had to do that at Gerry's, and when i applied last time and this time they kept the photocopies. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Hi fari, the evidence i submitted with my wifes appeal were a letter from my employers accountant stating that ive been a employee for almost a year now but most importantly 2 letters from HMRC. 1 confirming im still employed by the same company and that due to transmission issues between HMRC employers unit and the accountant that they could not give exact information on taxes paid as well as well as exact amounts paid to me. 2 a letter from HMRC stating my paye records are uptodate as of december 2014 and also reciepts of taxes paid by my employer along with bank statements for another 6 months showing that pay is regularly coming in.
Application and biometrics submitted - 27August 2014
Visa Refused - 17 December 2014
Online appeal submitted - 9th January 2015
Notice of a pending appeal - 27th January 2015
Bundle received back from BHC ISB (apparently) - 24th February 2015

Salaam,

Can anyone who has successfully got their visa confirm that the SU07/12 form and the VAF4A form are not required to submit?
Is my understanding correct that the VAF4A form is done online and the confirmation is printed and submitted along with Appendix 2 which is filled in by hand, and that SU07 form is not relevant for the spouse visa application?
