No need to include it with the application. Leave it out.

Hi all.
I am looking to apply for a visa for my wife. However I have a few questions regarding the changes in submitting documents for a settlement visa.
My Wife is in Pakistan and I am in the UK.
The change states that supporting documents should be sent to Sheffield. My question is:
Does my wife submit her passport and a visa application along with her documents at gerry centre in Pakistan. And then I submit my docs for the case, here in Sheffield?
Or do I get all of her documents and then submit everything here in Sheffield and she just submits her passport?

Aoa everyone,

I should apologise before my question as this thread says timelines only but my query stage is early for knowing the timeline. However, I found this thread very active and expertised.
I am a British national by birth. But my family moved to Pakistan in my early teens. So I grew up in Pakistan, however I did all my higher studies from UK and later on I went back to Pakistan I got married to a Doctor in 2011 (Nikkah only) wedding 2012 and was blessed with a son in 2013. I came back to UK in December 2014 and started looking for work above 22000 per annum and started working in mid March 2015 on a permanent position as an accountant on 25000 pounds per annum.
I now wish to apply for my wife and Childs visa IA in September when I ll get my 6th payslip InShaAllah. I since December 2014 living a shared accommodation and have no paper work what so ever for my accomodation. Whoever I am registered in electro roll on my uncles house since long time and my bank and everything else has that address of my uncles house.
My question is that if someone can kindly provide me with a comprehensive list of documents and paper work of myself my wife's and my child's so I can prepare my file efficiently well in time. JazakALLAH
And if someone can also guide that if there is any such requirement also that one has to be living and earning in UK for at least one year before applying for spouse visa?

Hello,

My wife submitted passport in Lahore on 15th July.
Sponsor documents received in Sheffield on 14th July
Application form received in Sheffield on 20th July.

My wife has received no confirmation email from BHC that docs are received - Is this normal?

I cant advise you on all your concerns because my situation is a bit different but what i can say is that you should get the local council to state that you reside at the said location ie your uncles house along with other residents, it will also state the particulars of the house along with rooms and their sizes. And as far as i know there is no rule that you have to live in uk for a year before one applies for a spouse visa as long as you have the 6 months payslips and the bank statements.

Just out of interest has there been any cases with visa has been granted after 3 months (as normal) but during the 3 months process there has been a further demand or request of pay slips ie 7 8 9 months and like so of bank statements 7 8 9 month

You need to submit TB test certificates along with the other documents if you don't your wife's and the kid's visas will be refused. As you said your wife's appointment for the TB test is on the 4th August and you got an appointment on 27th July for documents submission if you have applied online after 6th July then you will have to send all the relevant documents to sheffield and your wife will have to submit her and the kids passport in Pak VAC. I would say tell her to send TB certificates to you soon she gets it normally they provide you on the same day of Test and once you receive them in the UK then you could send them along with other documents to Sheffield.

On what basis do you get vignette on passport and collect brc here from post office, or get a 33 months visa on passport? Is it due to whether your application is considered under old rules or new rules?

According to
https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... n-6-months

18th march onwards all visas will be for 30days. You seem to be the exception to the rule. I dont know why or how

Thank you for the link. I am slightly confused as well, although it does not matter either way I guess.
