I'm also from Bradford, live in Allerton, any idea who my local MP is?

My husband had his biometrics 15th April from Lahore, it has now been 20 weeks, 100 working days. He also did his language test from City & Guilds.

Its really stressing me out!

Hi All,

My first application took nearly 33 weeks. There are only 52 weeks in the whole year so you can have some idea for the length of time I am talking about.

So I would advice everyone to stay patience.

Pray as much hard as you can Insha Allah you'll get through this stage as well.

Remember me in your prayers and I also remember everyone in my every prayers.

Keep us updated on the forum regarding the progress of your spouse visa applications/appeals.

Good luck to everyone.

Salam Sairah,

I don't know if this is accurate or not. But from what I can see all over this forum, the people having issues are people who took the Cambridge English tests, particularly the KET. The Cambridge ENglish tests I believe are done on computer, and the results have to be verified online by the ECO. However, this is what it says about the City & Guilds IESOL/ISESOL:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _tests.pdf
One of the following document combinations (required with application):
 ‘International Speaking and
Listening IESOL Diploma’
certificate, or
 ISESOL certificate plus
IESOL Listening (A1)
certificate.
This suggests that they don't need to verify the City & Guilds course online, they just need the mark sheets and certificates. I called up City & Guilds, and the person in the helpdesk said it is not confirmed online, you just need the physical certificate, and it doesn't expire (he wasn't talking about Visa process, just that generally you can't verify online). So I think the City & Guilds people should be fine, at least I am hoping so as my wife has done this one before April 2015.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, as I would like to know if this is an issue with C&G also.

Dear Brom

Your UK visa application is currently under consideration at the British High Commission in Islamabad.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has been delayed while we undertake further checks. This means that we will be unable to make a decision within our published customer service standards.

We will conclude your case as soon as possible and we will email you when your documents have been returned to the Visa Application Centre. You will then be contacted again when your documents are ready for collection. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre before you have been advised to do so.

We apologise for this delay. Please avoid making any travel arrangements until you have collected your passport.

We would be grateful if you could keep your correspondence to a minimum during the consideration process of your application. If however you need to contact us or would like to track the progress of your case, you can do so via our International Enquiry Service at: http://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk.

When I applied online, which was the 13th August, I got an automated email saying all documents should be submitted at the Visa Application Centre in Islamabad but I assumed they must have not updated the automated email yet so I also sent my documents to the address on the website.

Hi all,

Just a quick note for the people mentioning verification of City & Guilds certificates. Some certificates have the online checking reference number and a QR barcode in the corner. Both can be used to check the authenticity online.

Some of their certificates however have neither of these. My wife's didn't have them. These types of certificates can only be verified via an online application on the C&G website. The verification is requested at a cost of £44 for each certificate (spoken & listening). I requested both on Monday and received confirmation letters in the post on Wednesday.

Hope this helps somebody.
