I submitted my application today.
I was told by my solicitor that i have to send all my documents to my wife and she has to submit there in gerrys. I am confused i thought we have to send here to sheffield ?
Plus her Biometric date is 10/09/2015, when should i send the documents- before biometric or after biometric in case if i send it to sheffield ?

Kindly reponse to my query

If your solicitor specialises in immigration, I'd be concerned that he wasn't aware of the new changes made on 6th July, regarding all documents need to be sent to Sheffield. You should check all your documents.
TIMELINE

Spouse Visa (Entry Clearance) granted on 20-02-15
FLR-M (Extension) granted on 24-08-17
ILR (SET-M) not due until 2020

Solicitor has advised you incorrectly. All they need to take in Pakistan is their passport and the confirmation email when you submit the application. You just need your partners signature.

Submit after biometrics

Thanks for reply

Should i send the biometric confirmation letter scanned and send it in email address ?

I read here that i have to write application reference number on documents and envelope ? And do i have to put prepaid delivery envelope in it ?

Regards

Ramos
1. Yes, unless you can get the letter to your spouse another way. I will most likely do this also.
2. Yes I believe it says write it on the top right of every document in your folder. I am writing it on every page.
3. Yes, should be the same postage cost as when you sent it. If you take it to the Post Office unsealed, they should hopefully be able to do it for you.

What the crack with English test.
I've read it cost us to check here in UK 44 quid each so 88 pounds. Wonder what it cost the pakiz at the colleges to upload the pass results and actually do something about it knowing if they haven't uploaded than its puts the client at risk that is us*??
Surely the fees they take and we at the end get pass results if that's not available on live for ukvi to see than who's to blame?

Hi,
Just want to share my experience i had biometrics yesterday in khi visa application centre.

Make sure u print out online application form along with 2 passport sized photos as they would'nt take biometrics without the online application form.
Whole process took 15minutes.
Thanks,
Aadi (my wife also posts from this id)

A note to all new applicants :
right after online submission you will get appointment confirmation where it is stated that all documents should be submitted at Visa application centre (Gerry's).

Confirmation email is not updated as gerry's is not accepting supporting documents from 1st August 2015.

Changes took place from 6th July 2015 and after 1st Aug BHC islamabad refused to take supporting documents from Gerry's from now you must send your supporting documents to Sheffield (UK).
Only passport will be submitted at concerned VAC.

3 things you must bring at the day of your biometrics:
1. Online Visa form with 2 white background photos.
2. Passport
3. appointment confirmation email
Online visa from will be returned to you after biometrics.
Thanks,
Aadi

Very useful information. Just to confirm, so they do need the online application form when you go to the VAC but they return this to you, and did you send it with the documents to Sheffield?

Yes you need it unfortunately i didn't have that online form at the time of my bio metrics and had to print out along with 2 passport size photographs so in order to avoid any kind of delay or waste of time make sure you bring the online visa form. i would send that signed online visa form to my sponsor soon.

Visa application center charge 100rs per page print
11 pages = 1100rs plus other internet charges total = 1500rs lol

I would advice that better dis-instruct your solicitor who is not aware of the new legislation/rules.

Salaam everyone :) i am planning to apply in 2 weeks time after my last paycheck. I'm just wondering whether i would need a lawyer or not? i m applying under Category A and it seems straightforward. My wife just recently done her IELTS and will be doing her TB test soon too. I wanted to know when she gets her bio metric appointment will she need to send any documents here from that appointment? If she does then is it better for her to wait and send me TB/English certificates after the appointment?

W.salam

I guess its up to u, but as u said yourself it is straight forward, she will just need to take along a copy of the signed application form and that's it, but she won't be submitting it, I'd wait till her biometrics and then send application form tb/English test to u once biometrics is done

Good luck

She did the Life Skills test A1 and she didn't find it too difficult. But then she was taught in English at university so she was already able to speak a little.

Hi all,

Quick question.

Since our first application, my wife's home address in Pakistan has changed. This is explained in the new application. However, is it a problem that the TB certificate still has the old address on it? The certificate is valid until 25th September.

Thanks

You can try and explain that on a cover letter, but if you want to be safe you could get the test done again.

Just make sure your paychecks are over £1550 per month (and never lower) and that you submit online when you are ready as all documentation is based on the date of the online application. Make sure your employment letter is within 28 days of online application and the last Payslip and bank statement.

InshaaAllah you will be successful.

Hi looks fine to me, but what is 'letter of support' and then u have declaration too and 10 months??... Requirement is 6 months, 10 months may over complicate things unnecessarily but inshallah all the best!

@stillwaiting123

Letter of support meaning basically a cover letter explaining how the relationship was formed, my background and plans for the future. The sponsorship declaration is the one where the solicitor 'fills the gaps' and I sign and he signs to say he witnessed it.

I've been in my job for 10 months so thought it would be better to include all wages and statements covering this period. I thought this would look better showing more wages and a steady bank account.

U only need a declaration and even that is not a requirement u don't need the filling gap one thats more for visit visa

Also its up to u, but I'd just include 6 as that is what is needed sometimes over submitting causes problems

Did you have to pay for the C&G confirmation letter? Did you have to get 2? One for each certificate?
