Spouse settlement visa - Paper appeal hearing

Hi there,

My wife's visa from India was rejected a few month ago for missing original bank statement, I provided copy. I appeal with original bank statement and the decision was not over turned. I had been given a date to submit any additional evidence for paper hearing. As part of my appeal I had given all additional original document that I felt would support my case.

Please advice what am i supposed to do given that I have no more new evidences other than whatever I had already given. How long generally it takes to make a decision or judicial review after a date had been given?

As the decision was correct under the Rules, it would be better to re-apply. Evidence that wasn't available to the Case Worker in the original application won't be accepted as new evidence in an appeal.

An appeal or JR is a lengthy process and may well take a year or longer before a decision is made.

Thanks, I haven't made myself clear enough here. I appealed against the decision back in April and the ECM didn't overturn the decision, in the mean time I reapplied which is yet to be processed after two months.

Appeal has reached hearing stage post ECM review and I had been given a date to submit any additional evidence I may have to support my paper hearing which may happen anytime after mid october so my question was specific to this. I gave all the original documents when I appealed not additional evidence post my original application date but all these were original bank statements prior to application date which I gave online printed statement due to lack of understanding.
