Swiching from Tier2 Dep to spouse Of settled person

Post by ms7575 » Fri Oct 21, 2016 12:41 pm

Dear experts,
I am on Tier 2 visa and my wife came in UK as my dependent in May 16. Our visa will expire on 14/03/17 and I will be completing my 10 years on 13/03/17. I read on the posts my wife needs to use Form FLR (M), I have two questions:
1. What should she select in sec 2.2 Is this the first time you have applied for a visa or extension of stay in one of the above categories (including previous leave granted as a fienace or proposed civil partner with your sponsor yes/no
and sec 2.3 which categories needs to be selectec

2. Can we both apply same day by PEO?

Thank you so much in advance

Thank you so much CR001, My 2nd question is (as mentioned in original post), can we both apply for visa on same day like can i apply ILR on LR basis and my wife as spouse.
Or should I get first my ILR and then apply for my wife visa.
Thank you again

Best to book your wife's appointment for a couple of hours after yours. If your application isn't granted, your wife's would fail.

Dear Experts,
I have an other question regarding acommodation (ms7575 was my last username but I could not log in so I created new one).
We got new 5 bed room house with one sitting room on rent last week at £2150 pm. we will share this house with my 3 cousins and one of them married so his wife and three kids (12, 14 and 18 years old) will stay with us.
We have a joint tenancy agreement (my, my wife and my other four cousins' name on it), we pay rent in one amount from my cousin's bank account (although we share rent and other expenses).

Q1. Do we need to get a letter from landlord or estate agent?
Q2. How should we show the rent payment as rent will be taken out by S/O from my cousin's bank account? Although I will be paying £700 or may be £750 ever month in my cousin's account.

Thank you so much you are all great help.

How you pay your share of the rent isn't the main issue.

9 or 10 tenants (I've lost count) may be considered by the ECO as overcrowding and you will need a property inspection report to confirm that it isn't. It depends on the floor space, not simply on how many rooms there are.

You will also need written permission from the landlord, agreeing to you and your wife living in the property.

Thank you CASA, there are total 9 persons in the property. Do we still need a letter from landlord despite of the names on tenancy agreement (landlord's agent signed the agreement which means landlord is agreed that my wife and other tenant who signed the contarct can live in the property).
We got this house through estae agency and they charge for letters.

Who can provide the property inspection report?

Thank you

Is the landlord aware of how many occupants will be living in the property?

Who can provide the property inspection report? An Estate Agency or the local authority.

Dear Experts,
We received a letter from our lanlord today (my wife name on it as her name is also on tenancy agreement) addressed To Whom It May Concern
The wording of letter is as follow:
"to whom it may concern
date
Dear sir/madam,
RE: My wife name, address

We are the managing agents for the property mentioned above. we write to confirm that we have rented this property to Mrs----- and five others adults, out of which there are 2 couples on the date/ month / 2016.
this property is a 5 bed house which comprise of Spam dinner, seperate living room, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with an extra toilet. The property is in a good condition and we believe it has more than enough space for all tenants in the house.

please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance on this matter"

My wife is going to apply her visa next week. Would you please let us know that is the wording of letter fine?
Should we still need an inspection report?
