Hello Guys,

I Called the Home Office on Tuesday to ask update of my application alot of people got their approval who sent after me.
I spoke to one lady over the phone, I asked her about my case or is it assign to case worker. She didn't any thing. Only thing she said that standard procedure is 6 months so you have to wait. I can't tell anything right now.

UK007 wrote:Hi Guys, a lot of helpful posts, hope someone can help me too. Want to apply for ILR soon but in confusion. Find my details below:

Visa Valid From: 05/12/2005 [Visa Student]
UK Entry: 22/12/2005

Absent from UK due to holiday 19/01/2008 - 03/03/2008

Current Visa expires: 30/10/2015

No overstays so far, My first visa was Student visa, 2nd Visa was Student visa, 3rd Visa PSW, currently Tier-4 student visa.
I have my wife as my dependant living here since 2008. My only son born here last year.

Q-1) Can I apply for ILR upon my visa expiry as it's not exactly 10 years ?
Q-2) If not, what do you suggest me to do ?
Q-3) If yes, what form should I fill up for my wife & son ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your helpful replies.
Since your son was born here you will register him using form MN1 after you receive your ILR

when you make the ILR you will draft a letter telling home office about the application you have pending and you want to defer it to the ILR and tell them to return the money for FLR FP. Note pls pay for the ILR and FLR M in full and expect them to return the other money. Also remember to make copies of all the entry and exist on your passport as you will need them to fill the form.

In regards to your Mrs with the letter telling them to hold her application, yes that is what they will do, some people on the forum said they received the application before even telling HO to start, but the best advice is to tell them to treat it once you receive your ILR. Check the requirement for your wife to make sure you are ready.
Thanks again Omor4real. Didn't know after I get ILR, I can go for MN1 for my son, That's great.
Another thing I missed about requirements of my wife, any idea what those are ? Do I have to show certain amount of my money available for her maintenance ? Also she has been living here in the UK since 2008 and working at Boots, does she still has to show any English language requirement ? Or any other requirements you aware of ?

Hi
Yes you need proof of income (£18600 per year) along with English and LIUK test to qualify for FLR(M).
As your current visa expires in Oct so I assume your dependant's visa will be till same day. You can apply your ILR and then MN1 for your child. Once you get your ILR and register your child as British then you can go for FLR (FP) 10 year route for your spouse.
And later your spouse can switch onto FLR M (If needed) when you can meet the requirements.

Hi Searoze

Are you sure for FLR(m) you need LIUK I think it's only English language requirement.

Hi guys I am a student and qualify for 10yr long residence in May 2015. I enter uk 05.05.05 after 3 renewals my last student visa was exp at 21st August 2014. So I had the gap of 9 months to qualify for 10 yrs. as per my soli advise I have aplied flr fp to catch up some time. HO refused me with no appeal rights in November.
(Reason- my 2013 - 2014 visa was curtailed due to uni closedown I knew it and I called HO to consider my case to transfer to another placement without a cas letter. Coz to get a new placement needs lots of finance. HO ignored me and they didnt send me a curtailment letter neither which put me in trouble to enrole a new one)

December we request JR & send a reconsideration letter to HO. This month treasury solicitors have send me a consent order saying that respondent agreeing to reconsider my case and ask me to withdraw my JR. on top of that it says the applicant application for leave to remain dated 20th August 2014. Which is one day before my leave exp.

So let's get to business my gurus and seniors what do you think about my case can I withdraw my JR and apply ILR ???
: did my 3c will continue if my consent order seal by the court ?
: or shall I wait the HO to reconsider my app they have asked 3 months in time.

Hello guys... I have been reader of this forum for some time, appreciate your work.
I have some questions if you could help.

I came to uk on as student in feb 2005 but my passport was stolen in a theft from house in august 2007 Went to pak two days before visa expiry and got new passport and visa in 3 months. Been here all this time... No gaps

Now want to apply under 10 year but dont have my first visa and passport. (Got copy of that visa, passport, police report, did not travel on that passport at all other than first entry)
Got SAR file, my first entry immigration card number etc.
now what possible problem can I face?
What other proof do I need for that period. I did Cima certificate in business accounting during that time (got certificate) got NHS record, p60 for 2005-06.
Is the evidence I have considered enough to prove my residence. ???
I got all other passports visa etc. after Cima certificate I did masters from leeds uni, now doing PhD in 3rd year.. Also haf psw for 2 years,..
What other evidence can i get? Or is it enough? Any help appreciated.

New NHS Charges from 6th april
New Fees and charges coming into affect from 6th of April 2015
Flr(M) Fees will increase from 601£ to 649£
There will be NHS charges for non EEA migrants which is 200£ per year and required to be paid upfront for the period visa application is being made
In simple words
I was planning to send my wife and two children FLR(M) after I get my application decided I.e after 6th April
Charges as follows
Fees Wife+2 Children =. 649 * 3 = 1947£
NHS charges for 3 applicants. 600*2.5(duration of Visa). =1500£
Total**********************************= 3447£
Where if I apply before 6th of April it is. 601*3= 1803

Hi, I have a query on my friend"s behalf. He is married for 6+ yrs
He will finish his 10yrs in UK in July 2016, ( student+psw+dependent+teir2)
His wife will also finish 10 yr in 2016 in June. (Student+psw+teir2+dependent)
My question is can his wife apply ilr on 5 yrs basis (adding 3ys of teir2 and 2yrs of dependent on husband who in turn is on Teir2)

Or they don't have choice but to go via long term residency route?
Any info will be appreciated.
